Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artemis Entreri (ranked 75 p4p, 230 weight class) and Johnny Hogg (ranked 13 p4p, 35 weight class). Hogg has chosen Styx - Renegade as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Artemis Entreri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Hogg!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Entreri is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Entreri looks to throw the jab but Hogg is out of range.
Entreri throws a right hand that misses
and Hogg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hogg ducks under a wild hook from Entreri.
Entreri misses with a right hand

and Hogg counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hogg.
Entreri can't keep his opponent in guard - Hogg advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Hogg is stalling here. Entreri is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hogg seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Entreri has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Entreri wants to stand but Hogg has his arm trapped.

Hogg is looking for a sweep.
Hogg is still trying to improve position.
Entreri tries to stand but Hogg is controlling his head.
Hogg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Entreri stands up and beckons Hogg to his feet.
Hogg moves away from the strike by Entreri.
A nice side step and Hogg releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Entreri throws the left hand but Hogg avoids the punch easily.
Hogg feints the counter takedown.
Entreri misses with a shot to the body
and Hogg counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Entreri misses with a body shot
and Hogg makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Artemis Entreri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Hogg.

Entreri with a body punch. A glancing blow.
We've been told by Entreri's head coaches at Outlaw MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hogg takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hogg moves out of range of the strikes.
Hogg changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Entreri feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hogg sprawling to the canvas! Hogg rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Entreri finish him?!

Hogg is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hogg moves out of range of the strikes.
Hogg is still on wobbly legs! Can Entreri finish him?
Entreri misses with a left hand
and Hogg counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hogg seems to have recovered his senses.
Entreri misses with a hook
and Hogg counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Entreri throws a shot from downtown. Hogg moves away and avoids it.
Entreri jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hogg doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Entreri feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hogg sprawling to the canvas! Hogg rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Entreri finish him?!

It looks like Johnny Hogg has been cut.
Entreri drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Hogg right on the button. Hogg goes down! Entreri follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Entreri gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artemis Entreri!
After the fight, Artemis Entreri was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
The defeated Johnny Hogg had this to say: 'What can I say, I have work to do.'.
