Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kai Chen (ranked 1056 p4p, 1333 weight class) and Vien Yosuke (ranked 101 p4p, 123 weight class). Vien Yosuke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Chen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vien Yosuke!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chen takes one to the side of the head.
Yosuke throws a jab when Chen was well out of range.
Yosuke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yosuke connects with a body shot that sends Chen's belly button to the back.
Chen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yosuke moves away.
Chen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yosuke loads up on a big right hand but Chen slips the punch.
Chen dips to his left and cracks Yosuke with an uppercut!
Chen throws a low kick but Yosuke avoids it.
Chen moves out of range as Yosuke strikes.
A counter left hand to the body from Chen misses its target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yosuke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chen swings for the body but Yosuke moves out of range.

Yosuke's corner calls for a 1-2. Yosuke obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yosuke throws the left hand but Chen avoids the punch easily.
It looked like Chen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Chen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yosuke was well out of range. Poor timing from Chen.

Yosuke throws a hook but Chen blocks it.
Yosuke jabs Chen right on the nose. Chen blinks but takes it well.
Yosuke is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Yosuke scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chen in his tracks.

and Yosuke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Chen tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yosuke to the ground. Chen is now in Yosuke's guard.
Chen stays in close to Yosuke's body and controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Yosuke has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Yosuke manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Yosuke pulls Chen in close to his closed guard and prevents Chen from doing any damage or advancing position.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Vien Yosuke dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Yosuke moves away from the strike by Chen.
Both fighters circling a little - Yosuke finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A jab from Yosuke finds it's way through Chen's defenses.
A low kick from Yosuke is predictable there
and Chen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Yosuke!
Chen goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Yosuke has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Chen but great work by Yosuke.
Chen sneaks back into half guard.
Chen is pressing down on Yosuke's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yosuke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yosuke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chen working for submissions but it's allowed Yosuke to get to half guard.
Chen wants to control but Yosuke is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Yosuke tries to stand but can't do so whilst Chen controls his leg.
Yosuke has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chen tries to roll over but Yosuke keeps him under control.
Chen is trying to maintain the position but Yosuke is very close to passing his half guard.
Yosuke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yosuke's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yosuke's back!

Chen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Yosuke is defending well though. Chen let's go of the attempt for now.

Yosuke felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yosuke trying to control the hands but Chen won't let him.
Chen is cranking Yosuke's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Yosuke! He's tightened the choke and Yosuke is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kai Chen!
In his post fight interview, Kai Chen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
