Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Draught (ranked 831 p4p, 539 weight class) and Giro Inhanamoto (ranked 105 p4p, 72 weight class). Draught comes to the cage accompanied by New Authentic - Nightfall. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlton Draught! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giro Inhanamoto! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Inhanamoto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It seemed like Inhanamoto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Draught fails with the takedown. A slow jab from Inhanamoto misses its intended target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto lands a leg kick that knocks Draught off balance momentarily. Draught shoots in but no luck this time. Inhanamoto looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inhanamoto throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Draught's head.
It looks like Carlton Draught has been cut. Giro Inhanamoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Inhanamoto misses with a head kick.
Draught wants to clinch but Inhanamoto slips to the side and Inhanamoto counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Draught shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Inhanamoto cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlton Draught. That's going to take a lot out of him. Draught bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A quick step to the side and Draught tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Draught dives in and scores a takedown into Inhanamoto's guard. Inhanamoto has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Draught off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Inhanamoto misses with a low kick. Draught tries to clinch but Inhanamoto moves away and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand.
Carlton Draught's cut is getting worse. Draught fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Draught tries to close the distance and clinch but Inhanamoto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Draught shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Inhanamoto as he jumps to the side. Inhanamoto counters with a body kick. Nice sprawl there from Inhanamoto as Draught shoots in. Nice cross by Draught.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Inhanamoto circles away from the clinch attempt and Inhanamoto counters with a nice uppercut. Inhanamoto jabs at Draught's body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Inhanamoto tries to keep at a distance but Draught has taken the fight into the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Giro Inhanamoto dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carlton Draught's cut. That's time! Draught's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. A jab from Inhanamoto misses. Draught is looking to counter punch. Inhanamoto throws an off balance right hand
and Draught counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Draught scores with a jab. Draught misses with a shot to the body and Inhanamoto counters with a leg kick. Inhanamoto tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Draught's elbow. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Inhanamoto. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Inhanamoto working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Inhanamoto lands a hook that snaps the head of Draught backwards. Inhanamoto lands with a short head shot on the inside. Inhanamoto stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A short uppercut from Inhanamoto. Carlton Draught's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Inhanamoto is defending well against a takedown attempt. Inhanamoto presses Draught against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Inhanamoto lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A short body shot lands from Inhanamoto as the two fighters clinch.

Jeez, Carlton Draught's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Inhanamoto scores with a hook to the body. Inhanamoto lands a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto tries to work over Draught's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A head punch on the inside from Draught fails to land. Inhanamoto scores with an uppercut up the middle. A short body shot lands from Inhanamoto as the two fighters clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carlton Draught's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
