Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Markov (ranked 152 p4p, 229 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 10 p4p, 5 weight class). Drago is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drago Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexey Markov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Drago!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Markov to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.
We've been told by Markov's head coaches at Bushido Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Drago tries to clinch up but Markov circles away and keeps his distance.
Drago closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Markov tries to break free but Drago pushes him back against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Drago.
Drago has a couple of punches blocked by Markov.
Drago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Markov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Markov lands with a good body shot.
Markov walks into a stiff left hand from Drago.
Drago misses with an uppercut
and Markov counters with a left to the body.
Markov throws a looping overhand right but Drago ducks down to avoid it.
Markov lands a right hook to the body.
Drago looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Markov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Drago thinking.
Drago showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Markov.
Drago looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Markov avoids the body shot from Drago.
Drago throws a series of punches but Markov moves out of range.
Drago jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Markov drops Drago with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Drago looks back up at him and smiles so Markov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Drago is rocked!
Drago bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Markov comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Drago falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Drago was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexey Markov!
Alexey Markov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Ivan Drago spoke after the fight, saying 'If I die....I die'.
