Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Puno!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai throws an overhand right that lands on Puno's shoulder, as Puno tries to avoid the shot.
Puno ducks right into an uppercut from Chai.
It looks like Adan Puno has been cut.
Chai ducks under a wild hook from Puno.
Chai tried to counter with a leg kick but Puno avoided it.
Chai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Puno throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Chai throws out a loose jab but Puno uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Puno counters with an inside leg kick.
Chai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Puno rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Puno throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Chai to counter with a crisp jab.
That has opened up Adan Puno's cut even more.

Puno throws a half hearted mid kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Chai misses its target.

and Chai counters with a body kick.
Puno moves out of range as Chai strikes.
Puno is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Chai with a body shot.
Chai ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Puno is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Chai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Puno.
Puno let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Chai lands a left and a right that send Puno crashing to the mat, dazed. Chai thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Puno keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A little jabbing left from Puno on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Chai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Puno.
Puno only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Puno throws a lazy uppercut
letting Chai counter with a right hand.
The cut above Adan Puno's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Chai missing with a left hand there. Puno was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Puno moves away.

Puno thinks about the counter body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Adan Puno's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chai is stalking Puno. Puno circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Chai, and it's lights out! Puno really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
