Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ghost Chai (ranked 58 p4p, 134 weight class) and Haw Thorn (ranked 8 p4p, 21 weight class). Thorn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Haw Thorn enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haw Thorn!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai defending well as Thorn loads up on a big left hand.
Chai lands a nice hook to Thorn's body. Thorn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Thorn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Chai throws a big counter combination but Thorn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Chai has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Master Chai's Dojo in the buildup to the fight.
Chai uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Thorn digs a good body shot into Chai's ribs.
Chai moves out of range of the body kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Chai blocks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thorn blocks a head kick by Chai.
Chai throws a hook but Thorn avoids it easily.
Chai throws a low kick, looking for Thorn's leg but Thorn calmly moves out of range.

and Thorn counters with a left and a right that stings Chai.
Thorn looks to land a left hand but Chai moved out of range nicely.
Chai will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Thorn blocks a head kick by Chai.
Chai backing away here, and Thorn unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Thorn counters with an outside leg kick.
Thorn tries to land a leg kick but Chai saw it coming and moves away.
Chai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Thorn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Thorn throws an overhand right that lands on Chai's shoulder, as Chai tries to avoid the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chai misses with an uppercut.
Despite the aggression on Thorn's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Thorn misses with a double jab.
Chai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Chai fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thorn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Thorn jabs Chai to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Thorn throws the left hand but Chai avoids the punch easily.
Thorn throws a head kick but Chai moves out of range.
Chai connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Chai takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Thorn misses with a hook.
Thorn misses with a looping right.
Thorn wants to land a leg kick but Chai is out of range.
Thorn swings away with a body shot that misses
and Chai counters with an inside leg kick.
Chai missing with a left hand there. Thorn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Thorn flicks out a counter leg kick but Chai steps away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Thorn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Chai swings widly with a right hand
and Thorn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thorn throws a head kick that Chai semi-blocks.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Thorn jabs at Chai's body.
Chai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Chai ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thorn misses with a lunging right hand
and Chai counters with a head kick that drops Thorn to the mat! Thorn scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Thorn is rocked!
Chai moves in close and cracks Thorn with a massive right hand! Thorn, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Chai!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ghost Chai!
After winning the bout, Ghost Chai thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
