Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Okoro (ranked 80 p4p, 187 weight class) and Musa Vitalik (ranked 12 p4p, 28 weight class). Okoro comes to the cage accompanied by TOP OF MY GAME. Vitalik is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Planet Purge - Midnight Tyrannosaurus & Ehide. Musa Vitalik has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Okoro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Musa Vitalik!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitalik doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Okoro throws a looping overhand right but Vitalik ducks down to avoid it.
Okoro tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Okoro throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vitalik lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Okoro at a distance.
Vitalik jabs at Okoro's body.
Okoro throws a shot from downtown. Vitalik moves away and avoids it.
Okoro takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've been told by Okoro's head coaches at Squids Sweat Shop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Vitalik misses with a two punch combination.
Vitalik lands a nice looking body shot.
Vitalik throws the left hand but Okoro avoids the punch easily.
Okoro scores with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vitalik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Okoro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Okoro wants it to stay on the feet.
Okoro appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Vitalik moves into range and connects with a jab.

Okoro sends Vitalik crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Okoro is motioning to the referee to let Vitalik up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Vitalik decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vitalik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Okoro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are battling for position here. Okoro manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Vitalik has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Vitalik looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okoro is fending him off so far but Vitalik persists. Nope, Okoro circles away and we're back to standing.
Kobe Okoro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Musa Vitalik.
Okoro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Vitalik swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Nice defenses there by Vitalik.
And Vitalik tries to counter it with a takedown but Okoro pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Vitalik fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vitalik.
Okoro throwing a counter right hand but Vitalik manages to avoid it.
Vitalik checks the leg kick nicely there.
Okoro wants to clinch up but Vitalik keeps it at a distance.
Vitalik shoots for a double leg takedown but Okoro sprawls well. He's pushed Vitalik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vitalik. Okoro does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vitalik fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kobe Okoro will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Okoro takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A cross from Okoro lands.
Okoro looks to land a right hand but Vitalik moved out of range.
Vitalik scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Okoro doesn't seem bothered though.
Vitalik scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Okoro misses the jab.
And Vitalik tries to counter it with a takedown but Okoro pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Vitalik throws a big shot that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Okoro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Vitalik throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Okoro is looking to counter punch.
Musa Vitalik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vitalik takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Vitalik scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vitalik wants to pass to mount but Okoro is defending the position.

Okoro wants to stand and escape but Vitalik is having none of it.
Vitalik postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Okoro has momentary wrist control but Vitalik slips an elbow through the middle.

Vitalik is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kobe Okoro is winning the standup battle so far.
Vitalik uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Okoro.
Vitalik fails to land with a series of punches.

Vitalik closes the distance and clinches up with Okoro, looking for a takedown. Vitalik pushes Okoro against the cage but Okoro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Okoro went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Okoro throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Okoro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Okoro fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vitalik.
Okoro lands with a cross.
Vitalik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Okoro counters with a straight right hand.
A low kick lands for Okoro.
Kobe Okoro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vitalik shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Okoro thinks about countering with a head kick.

Vitalik throws a one two combo.

It looks like Kobe Okoro has been cut.
Okoro looks to land a body kick but Vitalik moved away.
Vitalik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okoro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vitalik somewhat.
Vitalik shoots in looking for a takedown but Okoro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vitalik's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Okoro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vitalik looks to score with a jab to the body but Okoro is just out of range.
Okoro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Okoro cracks Vitalik with a hook to the temple - Vitalik is on wobbly legs here! Okoro swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Vitalik falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Okoro wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kobe Okoro!
A relieved looking Kobe Okoro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
