Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kongthoranee Sitsongrit (ranked 93 p4p, 396 weight class) and Rokken Roll (ranked 13 p4p, 48 weight class). Rokken Roll has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kongthoranee Sitsongrit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rokken Roll! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit misses with a body shot.

Roll throws a shot from downtown. Sitsongrit moves away and avoids it. Roll fails with the takedown and Sitsongrit counters with a nice body shot. Roll shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sitsongrit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sitsongrit is pulling down on Roll's head to control his posture. Roll stopping the sweep attempt from Sitsongrit. Roll looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sitsongrit keeping moving, preventing Roll from controlling successfully. Sitsongrit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roll is one step ahead there. Sitsongrit is pulling down on Roll's head. It's preventing any offense from Roll, at least for the moment. Roll pushes down on Sitsongrit's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sitsongrit controlling the position well. Sitsongrit trying to get back to full guard but Roll takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roll has hold of Sitsongrit's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sitsongrit manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Roll tries to control but Sitsongrit wriggling away. Roll wants to finish this one by submission but Sitsongrit is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Roll. Sitsongrit is trying to escape the mount but Roll keeps good control and instead manages to take Sitsongrit's back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sitsongrit turns into Roll and is now in his guard.

Our spies down at at FF Forever inform us that Roll has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Sitsongrit advances position into side control! Roll tries to buck Sitsongrit off but Sitsongrit is having none of it. You can see the frustration on Roll's face as Sitsongrit controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roll is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Roll keeps trying to improve his position. Sitsongrit content to control the pace. Roll is looking for a sweep. Sitsongrit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kongthoranee Sitsongrit will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Roll throws a leg kick but Sitsongrit checks it. Roll throws a looping overhand right but Sitsongrit ducks down to avoid it. Roll misses with a low kick.
Roll fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Roll throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Roll takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Sitsongrit ducks under a wild hook from Roll. Roll misses with a jab to the body
and Sitsongrit makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Roll lands a right hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sitsongrit moves away from the strike by Roll. Sitsongrit was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Sitsongrit scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sitsongrit catches Roll with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sitsongrit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Roll looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roll throws a big shot that misses. Roll shoots for a double leg takedown but Sitsongrit sprawls well. He's pushed Roll's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Roll jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sitsongrit throwing a counter right hand but Roll manages to avoid it. Roll misses with a leg kick. Sitsongrit fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Roll has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sitsongrit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roll manages to avoid it. Sitsongrit moves out of range as Roll strikes. Roll ducks under a wild hook from Sitsongrit. Kongthoranee Sitsongrit is winning the standup battle so far. Roll misses the jab. Roll throws a low kick but Sitsongrit avoids it. Roll waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sitsongrit. Roll throws a front kick aimed at Sitsongrit's knee but Sitsongrit avoids it well. Sitsongrit does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sitsongrit misses with a low kick.

A shot to the liver by Sitsongrit. Beautiful body shot. A punch lands to the side of Sitsongrit 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sitsongrit ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. No luck with that takedown attempt from Roll. Kongthoranee Sitsongrit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rokken Roll. Roll loads up on a big right hand but Sitsongrit slips the punch. Sitsongrit fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roll looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roll misses with an uppercut. Sitsongrit saw that one coming. An attempted straight right counter from Sitsongrit misses the target. Sitsongrit attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A low kick from Roll is predictable there letting Sitsongrit counter with a right hand. Roll works the jab nicely. Roll throws a jab but it's blocked by Sitsongrit. A low kick lands for Roll.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll thuds a left hand into Sitsongrit's body. Sitsongrit turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sitsongrit takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Roll throws a leg kick but Sitsongrit sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sitsongrit is looking to wear down Roll with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. The fighters circling - Roll throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big right from Roll misses. Roll connects with a jab. Roll throws a right hand that Sitsongrit ducks under and follows up with a left that Sitsongrit also avoids with ease. Roll misses with a low kick. Roll is looking to score with low kicks. Roll throws a jab but it's blocked by Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Roll uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sitsongrit lands a right hook to the body.
Roll is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sitsongrit. Roll fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sitsongrit on the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Roll. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roll throws a low kick, looking for Sitsongrit's leg but Sitsongrit calmly moves out of range. Sitsongrit moves out of range as Roll strikes. Roll will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sitsongrit swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Sitsongrit looks to land a right hand but Roll moved out of range. Sitsongrit misses with a low kick. Sitsongrit connects with a single shot there. Sitsongrit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roll.
Roll looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Roll seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sitsongrit seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rokken Roll showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Sitsongrit fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roll looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A clash of legs there as Sitsongrit blocks the low kick. Sitsongrit appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Roll fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sitsongrit on the side of the head. Sitsongrit throws a hook but Roll blocks it. Sitsongrit checks the leg kick. Sitsongrit takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Good exchange - Roll coming out on top. Sitsongrit sizes up Roll with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A nice inside leg kick there by Sitsongrit. That's going to slow Roll down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sitsongrit lands a nice shot that snaps Roll's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sitsongrit uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roll. Roll on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sitsongrit gets caught flat footed, as Roll shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rokken Roll has got the better of the ground game so far. Sitsongrit trying to control the position here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Roll looking to sit in guard and control but Sitsongrit gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sitsongrit stays in close to Roll's body and controls the position. Sitsongrit tries to free his leg and advance position but Roll is retaining full guard. Sitsongrit passes Roll's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sitsongrit keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Roll wants to get back to full guard. Sitsongrit content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Roll is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Sitsongrit won't allow Roll to sweep him here. Sitsongrit looking to pass the guard. Roll looking to control.
Roll working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sitsongrit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sitsongrit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Roll looking to control.
Sitsongrit is stalling in the full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Roll wants to improve his position but instead Sitsongrit has moved into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sitsongrit is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sitsongrit is thwarting Roll's attempts to control the position. Sitsongrit content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Roll gets back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roll looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kongthoranee Sitsongrit. I think Sitsongrit has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Kongthoranee Sitsongrit! In his post fight interview, Kongthoranee Sitsongrit started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
