Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Albatross (ranked 73 p4p, 170 weight class) and Jim Bob Walton (ranked 5 p4p, 13 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 47 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Albatross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob Walton! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Albatross misses with a leg kick and Walton counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Walton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Albatross. Albatross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Albatross throws a hook but Walton avoids it easily. Walton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jab, jab by Albatross - just one landing. Albatross takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Walton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Albatross. That did some damage! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walton misses with a low kick. Walton misses with a head kick.
Good work by Albatross as he checks the leg kick. Walton connects with a crisp jab. Walton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Walton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Albatross has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A jab from Walton finds it's way through Albatross's defenses. Albatross has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Savage Gym in the buildup to the fight. Albatross fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Walton. Walton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Walton cracks a nice hook into Albatross's ribs. Jim Bob Walton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walton lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Albatross scores with a nice strike.
 Walton is rocked! Walton looks to score with a jab to the body but Albatross is just out of range. Walton is still on wobbly legs! Can Albatross finish him? A looping hook to the body misses from Albatross. Walton does a little dance to reset his feet. Walton motions for Albatross to come forward. Walton throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Walton seems to have recovered his senses. Walton looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Albatross feinted there with a counter leg kick. Walton connects with a right hand. Albatross shakes it off. This has been an exciting period of action! Albatross blocks a jab. Albatross throwing a counter right hand but Walton manages to avoid it. Albatross misses with a kick to the body and Walton counters with a straight right hand. Albatross throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Walton throws a hook but Albatross avoids it easily.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Albatross throws a low kick but it's checked well by Walton. Walton connects with a nice looking jab.
Albatross lands a glancing blow to the side of Walton's head. A bone on bone clash there as Walton blocks the leg kick.
Walton takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Walton takes a swing at Albatross's ribcage but misses. Albatross throws a big shot that misses. Albatross throws a low kick but Walton avoids it. A telegraphed right hand from Albatross misses the target. Albatross is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Walton. Walton lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Good leg kick by Walton. A big left from Walton misses. Walton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Walton scores with a crisp jab that stopped Albatross in his tracks. Walton misses with a wild combination.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Albatross throws a push kick but Walton slaps the foot to one side.
Albatross drops Walton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Walton looks back up at him and smiles so Albatross waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Walton lands with an overhand left. Walton throws a shot from downtown. Albatross moves away and avoids it. A nice leg kick lands there from Walton. Walton ducks under a wild hook from Albatross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walton checks a low kick from Albatross. Walton doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Walton, as that shot connected.
Walton connects with a solid leg kick.
Walton lands a big head kick that sends Albatross tumbling to the mat! Walton takes a step backwards and waves Albatross back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 Albatross is rocked! Walton darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Albatross's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Walton before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Bob Walton! Jumping up and down and very excited, Jim Bob Walton waved his t-shirt featuring Conviction's logo in front of the cameras.
