The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venegas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Furioto!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Furioto is trying to improve his position.
Venegas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Furioto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furioto tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Venegas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Furioto has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Venegas has freed his hand and lives to survive another� well, another couple of seconds at least!
Furioto has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Venegas .
Furioto looking to break Venegas 's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Venegas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Furioto will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Furioto has got his arm under Venegas 's chin working for the choke� has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Venegas has spun round into Furioto's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Furioto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Venegas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Venegas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Venegas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Furioto keeps working.
Venegas cracks Furioto with a big right hand but Furioto just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Venegas seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Furioto is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
