Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Savette counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Savette looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range.
Savette fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savette got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Savette has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Savette looks to land a combination. Jackson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Savette throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Savette works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jackson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Savette's head.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses.

Jackson feints and as Savette raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Savette is keeping the position.
Jackson throws a big elbow that misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jean Paul Savette showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Savette ducks down to avoid it.
Savette doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Savette counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nick Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Savette counters with a one-two to the body.

Jackson is rocked!
Jackson walks straight into a right hand from Savette - that's dropped him! Savette jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jackson from any more punishment! Jackson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
