Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Time To Fight Wright (ranked 144 p4p, 306 weight class) and Nick Durling (ranked 18 p4p, 39 weight class). Durling has chosen BABYMETAL - KARATE as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Time To Fight Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Durling!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Wright misses.
Wright lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Nick Durling has been cut.
Wright has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wright misses with a body punch
and Durling connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A punch combination from Wright misses.
Wright moves out of range of the body kick.
Wright uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Durling has time to react.
Durling looks to score with a jab to the body but Wright is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Durling doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Durling throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wright appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Wright jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Durling appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Durling swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Wright cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Durling! But no joy.
Durling keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Durling is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wright with a body shot.
Wright uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durling.
Durling throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wright steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Durling.

and Wright counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Durling digs a good hook to Wright's body.

Wright throws a nice looking combination but Durling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wright moves out of range as Durling strikes.
Wright bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Durling's head.
Wright avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wright works over Durling's head and body with a nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wright tries to bum rush Durling with a series of wild strikes but Durling uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Durling now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Wright lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durling circles away quickly and effectively.
Durling swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Durling closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sloppy strikes from Wright. Those never looked like landing.

Wright bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A swing and a miss from Durling.
Durling lands a right hook to the body.
Durling fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wright looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wright is breathing heavily.
Wright takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Durling has Wright up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Durling.

Durling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wright darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wright is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Durling digs a good hook to Wright's body.
Wright is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Durling fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wright will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Durling ducks under a wild hook from Wright.
The fighters circling - Wright throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A jab from Wright misses.
Durling looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Wright waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Durling.
Durling now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Wright throws a predictable looking body shot
and Durling counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wright throws a combination that misses
and Durling counters with a right hand to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Time To Fight Wright dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nick Durling's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Durling throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Wright tumbling to the canvas!

It looks like Time To Fight Wright has been cut.
Durling pushing down on Wright's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Durling is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Durling prevents Wright from improving his position.
Durling is pressing down on Wright's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wright is holding on for now.

Wright is trying to control but Durling manages to pass to mount!

Wright is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Durling scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wright?
Durling tries to control but Wright wriggling away.
Wright is looking to improve his position but Durling isn't that keen on the idea.
Durling lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Wright looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Durling has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wright breaks Durling's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Durling is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wright is aware though and is defending well.

Wright wants to pass the guard but Durling is keeping the position.

Wright is working hard here to advance position.
Durling has a closed guard, preventing Wright from standing up.
Wright throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nick Durling has got the better of the ground game so far.

Durling working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Wright has passed into half guard!

Durling slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Wright has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Durling to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wright is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Durling pulls down on the head and he's put Wright to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nick Durling!
A very excited looking Nick Durling made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
