Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Miroslav Drozd!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drozd.
Palhares wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Miroslav Drozd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palhares jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Palhares throws a hook to the side of Drozd's head but Drozd sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Drozd creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Drozd throws out a counter right but Palhares avoids it with no problem.
Drozd leaves Palhares with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Palhares fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drozd manages to avoid it.

Palhares creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Drozd sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
