Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Itziar Belmond (ranked 333 p4p, 467 weight class) and Mark Rapheal (ranked 46 p4p, 63 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Itziar Belmond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Rapheal! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belmond jabs at Rapheal's body. Rapheal on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Belmond throws a body punch but Rapheal moves out of range. Rapheal swings widly with a right hand
and Belmond cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rapheal on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Belmond lands a body shot.
Rapheal keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belmond throws a quick inside leg kick. Belmond thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rapheal if he has to take too many more of those.
Belmond has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Animal Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Rapheal pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Belmond. A little jabbing left from Rapheal on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Belmond looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rapheal is trying to get back to full guard. Belmond passes the guard and advances to mount! Belmond prevents Rapheal from getting the reversal.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Rapheal regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belmond wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rapheal keeps working. Belmond is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rapheal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rapheal is looking to improve his position.

Belmond is figuring out what he wants to do next. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Belmond lands a nice short elbow. Rapheal wants to improve his position but Belmond is controlling well.
Rapheal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belmond is working away from the top position though.
Belmond is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rapheal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Belmond wants to pass to mount but Rapheal is defending the position. Rapheal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rapheal is trying to get back to full guard. Rapheal is looking to control Belmond's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rapheal avoid being mounted? The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rapheal tries to get to full guard but Belmond has control of the leg. Rapheal is not content to let Belmond control the position.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Belmond tries for a takedown but Rapheal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Belmond fails with a takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Itziar Belmond dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters circling - Rapheal throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Rapheal connects with a body shot.
Belmond closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rapheal to the mat! Rapheal manages to get full guard. Belmond is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rapheal can do to turn this around? Belmond wants to control from the top but Rapheal keeps moving. Rapheal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rapheal lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
 We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rapheal looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Belmond is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Belmond wants to sweep but no luck. Rapheal postures up.
Rapheal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Belmond is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rapheal, into his guard.
Rapheal is trying to keep Belmond in close.
Belmond wants to control from the top but Rapheal keeps moving. Rapheal looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Belmond puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Belmond winds up and cracks Rapheal with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rapheal wants to get back to full guard. Rapheal is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Belmond's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Belmond's back! Rapheal is trying to stick to Belmond's back but Belmond is turning into Rapheal. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rapheal's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Belmond. Belmond stays in close to Rapheal's body and controls the position. Rapheal tries to land a sweep but no joy. Belmond content to stall in guard here. Belmond pushes down on Rapheal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rapheal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Belmond. Belmond wants to control but Rapheal is keeping him busy. Belmond works his foot free and advances to mount. Rapheal keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rapheal is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Belmond with shots to the head and body - Rapheal looks very uncomfortable down there. BOOM! Belmond connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rapheal in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Belmond wants to control the pace but Rapheal is squirming around nicely. Belmond punching from mount but Rapheal doing a good job of avoiding damage. Rapheal is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rapheal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rapheal is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Belmond raining down shots from the mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Belmond lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Itziar Belmond dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Belmond throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rapheal. Rapheal throws out a counter right but Belmond avoids it with no problem. Mark Rapheal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A chopping leg kick lands by Belmond. Belmond misses with a takedown attempt and Rapheal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rapheal lands a nice looking kick to the body. Belmond takes a step back to recover. Belmond misses with an uppercut
and Rapheal counters with a solid body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belmond with a jab. Belmond dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rapheal. That did some damage! Belmond has his takedown stuffed
and Rapheal counters with a crisp right hand that drops Belmond! Rapheal lets Belmond back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
 Belmond is rocked!
 It looks like Itziar Belmond has been cut.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Belmond throws a leg kick that is checked and Rapheal counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

A very excited looking Mark Rapheal made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
