Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brody Parks (ranked 244 p4p, 297 weight class) and Nick Jackson (ranked 21 p4p, 28 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brody Parks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Jackson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson throws a body punch but Parks moves out of range. Jackson throws a leg kick but Parks checks it. Jackson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A swing and a miss from Parks. A nice leg kick from Jackson, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jackson throws a body shot but no joy. Jackson swings for the body but Parks moves out of range.
Parks misses with a hook. Parks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Parks. Jackson throws a lazy right hand but Parks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Jackson tries to work over Parks's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Parks wants to break the clinch but can't.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Parks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jackson. Parks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely. Jackson dodges the punch combination from Parks.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Parks manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jackson's best efforts. Parks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is nestled in close to Parks, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jackson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Parks is doing well to control the position and prevent Jackson from advancing to side control. Jackson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jackson working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Parks tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jackson is thwarting Parks's attempts to control the position. Jackson wants to pass to mount but Parks is defending the position. Jackson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Parks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Parks.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jackson connects with a couple of short punches. Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parks wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment. Parks wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him. Jackson postures up in Parks's guard and throws a big left but Parks blocks it. Parks tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson throws an elbow that misses. Parks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Parks!

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Parks is aware though and is defending well. Parks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Parks is looking to stand up but Jackson won't let him. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Parks's temple. Jackson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parks with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Parks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.  Parks is rocked! Parks is wriggling around trying to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jackson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Parks regains full guard. Nicely done. Parks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.  The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jackson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Parks scrambles back to his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Parks as he connects with a hook. Nick Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A big right from Parks misses. Parks misses with a wild body shot. Parks looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.

Jackson instigates a clinch. Jackson tries to work over Parks's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Parks wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jackson has him pressed against the cage. A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Parks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jackson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Parks backwards. Jackson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Parks's efforts to push away. Parks misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jackson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Parks working hard to break the clinch. Jackson blocks a body shot from Parks. Jackson misses with a punch on the inside.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
