Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Darkins (ranked 565 p4p, 414 weight class) and Alexander Rozhkov (ranked 74 p4p, 54 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Darkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Throne. Alexander Rozhkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darrell Darkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Rozhkov! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and George Francis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darkins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rozhkov did well to prevent Darkins getting side control. Darkins works his way into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rozhkov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Darkins off and has taken his back! Rozhkov scores with punches from the back.

Rozhkov working for the choke. Well, with Rozhkov on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Darkins is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Rozhkov is trying to stick to Darkins's back but Darkins is turning into Rozhkov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rozhkov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Darkins. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Darkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Darkins trying to control but Rozhkov is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Darkins looking to sit in guard and control but Rozhkov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Darkins looking for a sweep. Not yet Darkins, not yet. Rozhkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Darkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Darkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rozhkov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Darkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rozhkov has Darkins pulled in close to control his posture. Darkins pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rozhkov is keeping the position for now. Darkins is pushing down on Rozhkov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rozhkov is fighting to maintain full guard but Darkins has managed to sneak the leg through. Darkins is looking to advance position but Rozhkov won't allow it.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rozhkov is refusing to be controlled, as Darkins sits in half guard. Darkins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Darkins is looking to take a break and control but Rozhkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Darkins moves into full mount! Rozhkov won't be happy about that! Rozhkov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rozhkov is looking to improve his position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Darkins wants to take a breather but Rozhkov is having none of it. Rozhkov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Darkins looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Darkins moves nicely into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rozhkov tries to bench press Darkins off him but Darkins keeps the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rozhkov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Darkins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rozhkov can do to turn this around? Darkins swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice shot lands for Rozhkov. Rozhkov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Darkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Darkins showed some decent athleticism there. Darkins is trying to control. Rozhkov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rozhkov won't allow Darkins to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rozhkov is looking for a sweep. Darkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Darkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rozhkov keeps working. Rozhkov is looking to improve his position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Darkins performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Darkins wants to free his trapped foot but Rozhkov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Darkins throwing shots but Rozhkov is blocking nicely. Darkins is trying to control. Rozhkov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rozhkov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Darkins in particular looking to stall.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rozhkov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Darkins! Darkins tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Rozhkov easily slips into full mount! Darkins is trying to escape the mount.
Rozhkov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Darkins bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Darkins works a leg free and moves into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Darkins working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Rozhkov's thigh. Rozhkov counters though and makes it back to full guard. Rozhkov working a defensive guard here.
Darkins wants to pass the guard but Rozhkov is keeping the position. Darkins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Darkins stands and throws Rozhkov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rozhkov prevents Darkins from moving into mount. Rozhkov is trying to get back to half guard. Rozhkov gets back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rozhkov is not content to let Darkins control the position.
Darkins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rozhkov sees it coming and defends easily. Rozhkov wants to control but Darkins is keeping busy.
Rozhkov tries to roll over but Darkins keeps him under control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rozhkov is pressing down on Darkins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Darrell Darkins will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Darkins throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rozhkov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Darkins.
Nice combo by Darkins! Oh, that's hurt him - Rozhkov falls to the canvas and Darkins follows him into side control.
 It looks like Alexander Rozhkov has been cut. Rozhkov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rozhkov is looking for a sweep. Darkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Darkins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Darkins wants to pass to mount but Rozhkov is defending the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Darkins trying to control from half guard but Rozhkov is working away. Rozhkov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rozhkov is trying to maintain the position but Darkins is very close to passing his half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Darkins uses his free foot to push down on Rozhkov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rozhkov. Darkins controlling the pace for now. Rozhkov is looking to improve his position but Darkins isn't that keen on the idea. Darkins is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Rozhkov is in real trouble.
Darkins tries to get the hooks in deep but Rozhkov pushed the leg off. I really don't envy Rozhkov right now.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Darkins looking to hold on to the position here but Rozhkov rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Rozhkov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Darkins is aware though and is defending well. Darkins sitting in guard here, content to control. Darkins wants to pass the guard but Rozhkov is keeping the position. Darkins passes Rozhkov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Darkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Rozhkov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Darkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Darkins is keen to just control but Rozhkov is a slippery customer.
Darkins is working for a kimura but Rozhkov is defending it quite comfortably.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Darkins looking to sit in guard and control but Rozhkov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Darkins is trying to keep Rozhkov in close.
Alexander Rozhkov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rozhkov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rozhkov working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Rozhkov won't allow Darkins to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rozhkov with a flurry of punches that miss. Darkins has momentary wrist control but Rozhkov slips an elbow through the middle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rozhkov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
And that's the end of the fight! Darrell Darkins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Darkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
