Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kajun Puno! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bo Juggernaut! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puno connects with a right hand. Juggernaut shakes it off. A swing and a miss from Puno. Juggernaut looks to land a left hand but Puno moved out of range nicely. An attempted straight right counter from Puno misses the target. Juggernaut walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Bo Juggernaut has been cut. Puno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Juggernaut misses the jab. A punch combination from Juggernaut misses. An inside leg kick from Juggernaut misses. Puno lands with a hook. Juggernaut tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Puno lands a big uppercut and Juggernaut crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Juggernaut looks OK. Puno waves Juggernaut back to his feet!
Juggernaut is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Puno lands an overhand right. Juggernaut is still on wobbly legs! Can Puno finish him? Juggernaut throws a right and a left that both miss. Juggernaut seems to have recovered his senses. A slow jab from Puno misses its intended target. Juggernaut feints a counter leg kick. Juggernaut rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Puno moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Puno was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Puno just misses with a punch to the body.
Juggernaut moves out of range of the body kick. Puno lunges at Juggernaut with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Juggernaut's hand. Puno throws a leg kick which misses Juggernaut's front leg but catches the back leg as Juggernaut tries to avoid it. Puno feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Juggernaut sprawling to the canvas! Juggernaut rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Puno finish him?!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Juggernaut.
Puno drops Juggernaut with a big left hand! Juggernaut is injured, injured bad! Puno jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kajun Puno! Kajun Puno retains his heavyweight title! During a confident post fight interview, Kajun Puno thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
