Hello fight fans!
Triumph United looks to put on another great event. Triumph 30 features a Heavy Weight title fight between Stones Mahones the champ currently undeafted at 6-0 against Leroy Brown. Leroy is currently 5-1 and is the number one contender to the title. When reached for comment on the fight Stones responded with a brash statement saying
'Tape 'em up and let 'em fly, Brown. I'll be the one in the center of the cage waiting for you."
Stones must feel very confident coming into the fight as he has ended all of his six proffessional fights by KO, five of which have come in the first round and only one opponent making it to the second.
Although tough Leroy is not afraid, Leroy five victories all come by first rd KO as well. Leroy is coming off a big win over Sebastian Lopez. Lopez the only man to defeat him was quickly put away by Brown in the rematch boosting Brown to the title shot. When Brown was asked to comment on the fight and the words Stones had to say
"It wont be easy for you to throw up another KO when you are on your back...this fight will take place on the ground and when the hammer fists start raining down it will be all over for you my friend!"
Look for this to be a great battle as Mahones looks to keep it standing for the KO. Brown will most likely use some clinch and keep this fight inside using his wrestling to either win a decision or GnP stoppage.
Sebastian Lopez (5-3) vs Rice Farmer Dude (4-1) HW Fight
This fight looks to to be a classic Wrestler vs Striker. Again both these fighter wins are all by ko or tko, Lopez the wrestler will most likely close the distance and go for the takedown. Dude will most likely keep it standing and look for his fifth KO. Can Lopez get back into the title picture and send Rice Farmer Dude back to the fields or will Rice Farmer effectively crush Lopez's hopes to get back to the title.
Floyd Pepper (8-5) vs Henry Huynh (4-0) 155 Fight
Floyd is a vet in the fight game and also one of Triumph first fighters. Floyd has almost reached greatness when he fought for the 155 title. He lost a tough fought decision to current Champ Kurt Summers. Kurt has handed Floyd his only two losses while fighting for Triumph, Floyd looks to back on track using his Brown belt to control the fight on the ground against up and comer Henry Huynh. Huynh although new to the fight game is very close to the title. He looks to prove himself against the vet and get another high level win. Huynh seems to match or outmatch Floyd in ever aspect of the fight game. Both fighters hold a Brown Belt, Floyd seems to have the edge with seven submission victories but Huynh will most likely control the stand up portion of the fight while trying to shutdown Floyd submission game. Will the crafty vet pull out another huge win or will Huynh score another big win on his way to a title match
Look for this fight to be a back and forth war, i dont see this one going to the judges
Ramon Samara (6-2) vs Andy Kline (9-8) HW Fight
This shapes up to be a great fight, Andy will try to get revenge against Ramon for his pervious KO lost. Andy will try to use his Brown Belt to Sub the supreme striker in Ramon. Ramon is a very good boxer and looks to move one step closer to the title. Rumor has it if Ramon wins this fight he will get a shot at the title. Ramon has lost two fights in Triumph both from ground fighters in Lopez and Edmond Dantes.
How will win, will Ramon use his boxing to control the fight again or will Kline be able to avenge his lost and sub the boxer.
Hannah Montana (9-7) vs Jesse James (10-6) HW Fight
Hannah Montana is a journay man fighter looking to stay relevant in the HW division. Jesse James looks to put a few wins together to avoid gaining the title of journay man that Montana currently holds. Both these fighter are very evenly matched, James seems to maybe have the edge but never count out Montana as he has his career on the line.
Roberto Gracie (12-7-1) vs Tommy Gun (8-5-1) 205 Fight
This might be the sleeper fight on the card, Roberto is been around a long time and he has a total of twenty fights. He is a Brown belt submission artist with eleven wins by submission. Tommy on the other hand hasnt fought nearly as many fights but has had 7 fights in Triumph United and has fought maybe the most studs out of anyone in the Triumph Roster. Tommy will most likely look to keep it standing and look for his fifth win by KO. This fight will be epic and i believe might be the fight of the night.
Andre Galvao (6-4) vs Robert Kain (4-2) 170 Fight
Another grappler vs striker match, Galvao is a Brown belt with terrible stand up and Robert is a striker with not the best ground game. Can Robert notch his fifth win and KO Andre or will Andre with stand his Boxing and manage to pull out the W.
Puukko Allu (2-2) vs Stephen Elley (2-0) 135 Fight
Both these fighters are new to the fight game, Allu looks to stay above 500 and Elley looks to notch another win on his climb up the Bantam Weight division. Both evenly match and look to put on a great show. Being in the likes of Mahones,Brown, Gracie and Pepper should have a great affect on the rookies. Hopefully they fight like vets and put on a great show for the fans
Alan Langer (2-0) vs Reginald Thornsby (1-1) 155 Fight
Thornsby will look to use his great stand up to take it to Langer in this fight, Langer will try to avoid the onslaught and get him to the ground to secure the victory
Ryan Layno (0-1) vs Sinisa Veljko (2-1-2) 205 Fight
Veljko looks like the heavy favorite to win this fight, he has the better wrestling and I think he will be able to manage the stand up game good enough to not get KO'd. Ryan will look to keep it standing or some how take the fight to the ground where both fighters are white belts.
Going to be a action packed night of fights at the underground in Sydney. Please come out and support your local fighters as the put on a show. Will the title change hands at TRIUMPH 30 {Mahones vs Brown}
