Oops... bit sloppy there by Myers. River passes to full mount! River wants to control the pace but Myers is squirming around nicely. Myers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

River sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Myers blocking the ground and pound. Myers is squirming around, avoiding River's attempts to control the action. Myers avoids a series of strikes thrown by River.

Myers wants to pass the guard but River is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Myers content to stall in guard here. River is trying to keep Myers in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Myers won't allow River to sweep him here. River is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Myers blocking the ground and pound attempt from River. Myers won't allow River to pass to mount. Myers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Myers. Myers is looking to stand up but River isn't so interested in that idea. River stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Myers working a defensive guard here.

Myers throws out a leg kick but River moves out of range and Myers only half commits. And River tries to counter it with a takedown but Myers pushes his down on his head and steps out.
