Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Flijers (ranked 22760 p4p, 22600 weight class) and Danny Trejo (ranked 617 p4p, 630 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ruben Flijers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Trejo! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Flijers. Trejo misses with an uppercut
and Flijers counters with a nice leg kick. Flijers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Trejo throws a series of punches but Flijers avoids them all with ease. Trejo misses the shot to the body. Trejo misses with an uppercut. Trejo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Flijers looks to score with a jab to the body but Trejo is just out of range. Trejo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Flijers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trejo moves away. Trejo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Flijers. Trejo lands a nice hook to Flijers's body. Trejo keeping moving, preventing Flijers from controlling successfully. Flijers has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Flijers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Flijers tries to free his leg and advance position but Trejo is retaining full guard. Trejo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flijers is controlling him. Flijers not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Trejo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Flijers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trejo throws out the jab. Trejo takes one to the chin there. Trejo scores with a hook to the body. Flijers takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Flijers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Trejo. Trejo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Flijers rather than just go for the knockout. Trejo lands a jab to the nose. Trejo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Flijers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Trejo digs a good body shot into Flijers's ribs. A jab from Flijers misses. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flijers, as that shot connected.
Flijers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trejo manages to avoid it. Trejo stuns Flijers with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Trejo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Flijers wants to improve his position but instead Trejo has moved into half guard.

Can Flijers avoid being mounted? Flijers has a hand on Trejo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Trejo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Flijers is looking to improve his position but Trejo isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Flijers has given up his back here.

Well, with Trejo on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Flijers is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Flijers trying to control the action but Trejo just sinks the hooks in. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Trejo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Danny Trejo seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Flijers backs away from a small jab... but Trejo lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Flijers crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Trejo with a spectacular finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tom Eli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Eli throws a wild body kick that Nakamura sees coming a mile off. Eli keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Eli lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Eli throws a head kick that half lands.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Makkonen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Makkonen is keen to just control but Khan is a slippery customer. Khan is controlling Makkonen's trapped leg to prevent Makkonen from advancing to side control. Khan is staying active underneath Makkonen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Khan is looking to improve his position.
Makkonen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan keeping hold of Makkonen's head, controlling as best he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makkonen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Makkonen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Makkonen shoots in but no luck this time. Khan closes the distance and pushes Makkonen back into the cage. Khan looking to slow down the pace here. Khan gets underhooks to prevent Makkonen's takedown attempt.
Khan lands on the inside with an uppercut. I was talking to Makkonen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Khan misses with a body punch.

Makkonen is breathing heavily. Makkonen being controlled against the cage. Makkonen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Khan pulls him back up using the underhooks. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Khan scores with a shoulder strike. Khan lands with a left to the head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Khan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ghengis Khan seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Khan gets underhooks to prevent Makkonen's takedown attempt.

Makkonen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Khan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Makkonen scrambles back to his feet. Khan throws an overhand right that lands on Makkonen's shoulder, as Makkonen tries to avoid the shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Makkonen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Khan! Makkonen is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

Bol feinted there with a counter leg kick. Hasselhoff misses with a right hand and Bol counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bol goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hasselhoff misses with a left hand and Bol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Misha Hasselhoff's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Bol has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hasselhoff. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hasselhoff and Bol are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Hasselhoff throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Bol into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Hasselhoff knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Marcus Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustav Harakka! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Harakka. That did some damage! Alexander has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A big right from Alexander misses. Harakka just misses with a punch to the body.
Harakka takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Harakka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Alexander loads up on a big right hand but Harakka slips the punch. Harakka misses with a straight left. As Harakka backs away, Alexander returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Harakka scores with the left hand. Alexander knows he should have avoided that one. Alexander on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Alexander throws a hook but Harakka blocks it. Alexander tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Harakka is able to avoid easily. Harakka throws a sloppy head kick and Alexander moves out of range easily. Alexander throwing a counter right hand but Harakka manages to avoid it. A slapping body kick lands there for Harakka. Alexander takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alexander staying out of range there. Alexander fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Harakka checks it well. Harakka tries to score with a low kick but Alexander moves his leg out of the way. Harakka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alexander was well out of range. Poor timing from Harakka. Alexander appears to be looking for a big counter. Harakka lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander ducks under a wild hook from Harakka. Harakka just misses with a punch to the body.
Harakka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alexander sees it coming and avoids it easily. Alexander getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Alexander does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Harakka avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little jabbing left from Harakka on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Alexander misses with a body shot.
Alexander cracks Harakka with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Harakka ducks under a wild hook from Alexander. Alexander cracks Harakka with a right hand to the side of the head. Alexander uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harakka. Harakka checks the leg kick. Harakka throws out a counter right but Alexander avoids it with no problem. A big left from Alexander misses. Alexander connects with a good right hand that stumbles Harakka. Harakka circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Alexander looks to throw the jab but Harakka is out of range. Harakka throws out a loose jab but Alexander uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harakka attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Alexander with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harakka throws a leg kick but Alexander moved away. Harakka takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A slow jab from Alexander misses its intended target. Alexander swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alexander misses with a looping right. Alexander fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Harakka checks it well. Alexander throws a leg kick that misses. Harakka misses with a lunging right hand
and Alexander counters with an outside leg kick.

Alexander missing with a left hand there. Harakka was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Alexander moves away from the strike by Harakka.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander motions for Harakka to come forward. Alexander throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Harakka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Harakka throws a good cross that connects.
Harakka throws a low kick, looking for Alexander's leg but Alexander calmly moves out of range. Harakka throws a low kick but Alexander avoids it. It looked like Alexander wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Harakka lands with a kick to the temple. Alexander shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Alexander stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A swing and a miss from Harakka. Alexander with a jab. Alexander cracks a nice hook into Harakka's ribs. Harakka throws a leg kick but Alexander sees it coming and checks it nicely. Alexander tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harakka was well out of range. Poor timing from Alexander. Alexander looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Harakka throws a head kick that misses. Alexander is looking for a counter combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harakka clobbers Alexander with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harakka lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Alexander is rocked! Harakka rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Alexander to counter with a crisp jab. Alexander throws a lazy uppercut
and Harakka counters with a huge left! Alexander is in big trouble! He's backing up but Harakka isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Alexander from any more damage. A dominating finish by Harakka!
