Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryu Inhanamoto!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Conrad Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inhanamoto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cartwright takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Conrad Cartwright has been cut.
Cartwright fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Inhanamoto on the side of the head.
It looks like Ryu Inhanamoto has been cut.
Cartwright looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cartwright swings away with a body shot that misses
and Inhanamoto counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cartwright misses the jab.
Inhanamoto stuffs the takedown.
Cartwright looks for a takedown but Inhanamoto sprawls well.
Ryu Inhanamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conrad Cartwright.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cartwright shoots in but Inhanamoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Inhanamoto throws a big counter combination but Cartwright scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Inhanamoto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cartwright.
Inhanamoto seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
A decent looking cross lands there for Inhanamoto.
Nice body punch from Inhanamoto.
Inhanamoto comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Inhanamoto definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cartwright looks winded!

Inhanamoto cracks Cartwright with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Inhanamoto has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cartwright to stand back up!
Cartwright is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Are you kidding me?! Inhanamoto ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Cartwright clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

A victorious Ryu Inhanamoto thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Conrad Cartwright was interviewed post fight and said 'The Cartwright Curse strikes again! The Powers that be just won't allow it apparently.'.
