The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aladeen drops his hands momentarily and Roberto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. It looks like AdmiralGeneral Aladeen has been cut. A shot to the liver by Roberto. Beautiful body shot. Roberto misses with a looping right. Roberto swings away with a body shot that misses

It looks like Werewolf Night has been cut. Striker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Night lands the left hand. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Striker blocks a jab. Striker looks to land a right hand but Night moved out of range. A counter left hand to the body from Night misses its target. Oooooh!!! Night has knocked Striker down with a huge combo! Night steps away and waves a wobbly Striker back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Night definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Striker misses with a looping right. Night throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Striker sees it coming and avoids it easily. Night throws a jab but it's blocked by Striker. Night drops Striker with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Striker looks back up at him and smiles so Night waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Striker has cracked Night with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Striker lands another huge swinging hook and Night tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Night, before Striker can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Heart works the jab nicely. Tadageru gets a clinch. Tadageru tries to score a body lock takedown but Heart shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tadageru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Heart wants to stand up but Tadageru is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tadageru missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nakachi Tadageru has got the better of the ground game so far. Tadageru is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Tadageru throws an elbow that misses. Heart uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tadageru's guard. Nice move by Heart! Tadageru tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Heart wants to stand and escape but Tadageru is having none of it. Heart avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Haruki Johnson! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gage rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Johnson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Still in the clinch, Johnson scores with a nice short uppercut. Johnson misses with a punch on the inside.
Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Gage. Gage has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Johnson stays in close to Gage's body and controls the position. Gage is trying to control the position but Johnson postures up. Gage is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Faolin misses with a left hand and Palmotic counters with a left to the body. Palmotic takes a shot right to the bread basket. Palmotic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Faolin. Palmotic slips a jab and a cross from Faolin.
Palmotic was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Faolin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Faolin scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Palmotic finish him?! Faolin is rocked!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Cowan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mamed Khalidovic! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalidovic throws a hook but Cowan blocks it. Khalidovic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Khalidovic throws a leg kick but Cowan sees it coming and moves out of range. Khalidovic attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Khalidovic misses with a looping left. Cowan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Khalidovic. Khalidovic takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Khalidovic fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cowan manages to avoid it. Cowan walks into a jab. Khalidovic throws a body punch but Cowan moves out of range. Khalidovic moves out of range of the strikes. Khalidovic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cowan quickly recovers to half guard.
