The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith lands a left and a right that send Frank crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Frank is rocked! It looks like Micah Frank has been cut. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Smith engages and cracks Frank with a massive lead left hook - Frank tumbles to the floor, out cold! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tokugawa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tokugawa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A nice inside leg kick there by Tokugawa. That's going to slow Belly down. Tokugawa misses with a kick to the body.
Belly throws a hook but Tokugawa blocks it. Belly takes a swing at Tokugawa's ribcage but misses. An inside leg kick lands from Tokugawa. Belly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tokugawa's guard. Tokugawa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Belly passes into half guard. Tokugawa wants to get back to full guard. Belly tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tokugawa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Tokugawa tries to roll over but Belly keeps him under control. Tokugawa trying to hold on to Belly's head to control him but Belly postures up.

It looks like Kenjiro Tokugawa has been cut. Belly with the ground and pound from mount. Belly get's back to his feet. Tokugawa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Belly lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Belly closes the distance and clinches. Belly is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tokugawa is defending well.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Belly is looking to cinch up a triangle. Tokugawa throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belly's body to avoid the submission. Belly has instead reached around Tokugawa's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belly arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Hoshino drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Hoshino dodges the punch combination from Barella.

Our spies down at at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS inform us that Barella has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Barella is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hoshino defends well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
