Mesquita throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kruth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kruth closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mesquita to the mat! Mesquita manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mesquita is looking for a triangle here but Kruth uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kruth is working to tighten his grip on Mesquita's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mesquita has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kruth is really squeezing tight and eventually Mesquita passes out! Kruth breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
