And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vasko Madzarov!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Madzarov takes a swing at Levesque's ribcage but misses.
Madzarov misses with an uppercut. Levesque saw that one coming.
Madzarov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Madzarov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Levesque counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Madzarov throws a head kick but Levesque moves out of range.
Levesque throws a big counter combination but Madzarov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Levesque counters with a crisp right hand that drops Madzarov! Levesque lets Madzarov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Vasko Madzarov has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A slow jab from Levesque misses its intended target.
Levesque throws a hook but Madzarov avoids it easily.

An inside leg kick lands from Madzarov.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Levesque scores with a kick to the midsection.
No joy there for Madzarov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A little feinted left hand from Levesque on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Madzarov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Levesque has time to react.
Madzarov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Levesque sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Levesque is looking to counter with a body kick.
Madzarov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Levesque connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Madzarov's hands.
Levesque takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Levesque counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Levesque keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Levesque makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Madzarov really felt that one!

Levesque throws an uppercut from hell that sends Madzarov clean off his feet! He's out cold! Levesque stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
