Santos is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Steel Iii flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Steel Iii is out cold! Santos holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Castellanos!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahai tries to close the distance and clinch but Castellanos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Castellanos misses with a left hand
and Ahai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice leg kick from Ahai, right into the meat of the thigh.
Castellanos looks to score with a jab to the body but Ahai is just out of range.

Ahai moves into the clinch.
Ahai swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Castellanos tries to break the clinch but Ahai is controlling the position.
Ahai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Castellanos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A bone on bone clash there as Ahai blocks the leg kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Ahai misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahai turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Castellanos misses with a body kick.
Ahai throws a leg kick but Castellanos sees it coming and moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ahai throws a big shot that misses.
Ahai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ahai throws the left hand but Castellanos avoids the punch easily.
A head kick misses from Ahai.
Castellanos misses the jab.
Castellanos misses with a looping right.
As Castellanos backs away, Ahai returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Ahai looks to clinch
and Castellanos counters with a good low kick that Ahai was not able to check.
Castellanos feints and then cracks Ahai's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ahai down.
Castellanos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ahai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Castellanos moves out of range of the leg kick from Ahai.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Castellanos scores with a leg kick.
Ahai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castellanos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ahai feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Ahai connects with a body shot that sends Castellanos's belly button to the back.
Castellanos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice jab there from Castellanos.
It looks like Azor Ahai has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Castellanos throws a pinpoint strike between Ahai's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Ahai crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Castellanos scores a great knockout victory!
