Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Grigori Golov (ranked 1112 p4p, 1395 weight class) and Sun Lutang (ranked 105 p4p, 130 weight class). Lutang is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Enter The LuTang. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grigori Golov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Lutang! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lutang waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Golov. Lutang is looking to land body kicks. Lutang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lutang lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Golov cracks Lutang with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. A nice leg kick from Lutang, right into the meat of the thigh.

Golov was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Lutang looks to score with a jab to the body but Golov is just out of range. Hermanos ducks under a wild hook from Sukbunsung. Sukbunsung misses with a leg kick and Hermanos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hermanos blocks a jab. Sukbunsung cracks Hermanos with a right hand to the side of the head. Sukbunsung throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chaiyo Sukbunsung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sukbunsung connects with a jab. Hermanos throws a right hand that Sukbunsung ducks under and follows up with a left that Sukbunsung also avoids with ease. Sukbunsung appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sukbunsung can do anything to dispel that myth. Hermanos cracks Sukbunsung with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sukbunsung is desperately trying to improve his position but Hermanos has a good base and remains in mount. Sukbunsung felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Hermanos looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sukbunsung bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sukbunsung throws a leg kick which misses Hermanos's front leg but catches the back leg as Hermanos tries to avoid it. Hermanos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sukbunsung swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sukbunsung cracks Hermanos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Hermanos throws a jab when Sukbunsung was well out of range. Hermanos takes a shot to the body in his stride.

It looked like Hermanos was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Sukbunsung is still on wobbly legs! Can Hermanos finish him? Sukbunsung takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sukbunsung scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
