Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Haalvisto (ranked 3657 p4p, 3991 weight class) and Tater Salad (ranked 274 p4p, 290 weight class). Haalvisto comes to the cage accompanied by Fintelligens - Stockholm-Helsinki. Salad has chosen Tater Salad as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tater Salad enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pekka Haalvisto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tater Salad! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Haalvisto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Salad doesn't seem phased though. Salad ducks under a wild hook from Haalvisto. Haalvisto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Salad jabbing away but nothing is landing. Haalvisto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salad. Salad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Haalvisto stalks Salad and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Salad's face. Salad staggers backwards, shaken. Haalvisto avoids the head kick by Salad.
Salad drops Haalvisto with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Haalvisto looks back up at him and smiles so Salad waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Haalvisto is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salad lands a brutal uppercut that launches Haalvisto off his feet! Haalvisto tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tater Salad! A relieved looking Tater Salad thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Pekka Haalvisto was interviewed post fight and said 'f$$$$$$ck!!!!!'.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adan Rollins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alessandro Garrison! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garrison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rollins was well out of range. Poor timing from Garrison. Garrison lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Rollins goes for a double leg but Garrison avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garrison continues to drive forward. Garrison misses with a knee to the head. Garrison misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rollins.
Rollins goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Garrison tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rollins avoids it. A right hand to the body from Rollins.
Rollins turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rollins manages to end up in side control. Garrison looks winded! Rollins tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rollins passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Garrison! Rollins fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This has been an exciting period of action! Rollins with the ground and pound from mount. Garrison is rocked! Rollins softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Garrison is out cold! Rollins jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Jones has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Jones creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Cable blocks an elbow strike. Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cable gets the underhooks and prevents it.

With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vidar Engberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iakopo Fuimaono! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuimaono throws an overhand right that lands on Engberg's shoulder, as Engberg tries to avoid the shot. Fuimaono misses with a straight left. Fuimaono lunges at Engberg with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Engberg's hand. Fuimaono's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Engberg connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fuimaono scrambles back to his feet. Engberg jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Engberg moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Nice shot by Engberg. Fuimaono swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Engberg seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Vidar Engberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fuimaono swings for the body but Engberg moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fuimaono swinging wildly here.
Engberg lands with a cross. A slow jab from Fuimaono misses its intended target. A quick step to the side and Engberg tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Engberg on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Engberg bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Engberg lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Donk. Engberg catches Fuimaono right on the button with a cross. Engberg uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fuimaono. Fuimaono misses with a series of wild punches.
Engberg uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fuimaono has time to react. Engberg takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Engberg scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fuimaono doesn't seem bothered though. Engberg dodges the punch combination from Fuimaono.
A combination from Fuimaono does no damage. Engberg connects with a body shot. Nice uppercut lands for Engberg. That snapped Fuimaono's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Engberg misses with a wild combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fuimaono's coach down at Death By Snu Snu was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fuimaono's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Engberg is looking to break free of the clinch but Fuimaono has double underhooks. Fuimaono tries to break free but Engberg pushes him back against the cage. Engberg lands with a left to the head. Fuimaono is trying to force a seperation but Engberg has the dominant position. Engberg wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Fuimaono tries to circle away but Engberg has him pinned against the cage. Engberg taking a breather. Fuimaono tries to break the clinch but Engberg is controlling the position. Engberg lands on the inside with an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Fuimaono's face as he tries to break the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Fuimaono has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Fuimaono breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Engberg moves away from the strike by Fuimaono. Jab, jab by Engberg - just one landing. Engberg takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fuimaono misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Engberg to counter with a crisp jab. Engberg cracks Fuimaono with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. No joy there for Fuimaono, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Engberg lands a glancing blow to the side of Fuimaono's head. Engberg is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Fuimaono uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Engberg has time to react. This has been an exciting period of action! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Engberg, as that shot connected.

Engberg bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Fuimaono is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Engberg. It looks like Iakopo Fuimaono has been cut. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Engberg scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Engberg digs a good body shot into Fuimaono's ribs. Fuimaono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fuimaono sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Fuimaono fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Oooooh!!! Engberg has knocked Fuimaono down with a huge combo! Engberg steps away and waves a wobbly Fuimaono back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Fuimaono is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fuimaono throws an overhand right that lands on Engberg's shoulder, as Engberg tries to avoid the shot. Fuimaono is still on wobbly legs! Can Engberg finish him? Fuimaono throws a lazy right hand but Engberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fuimaono takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sloppy strikes from Fuimaono. Those never looked like landing. Engberg bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fuimaono's head backwards. Nice defenses there by Engberg. Fuimaono seems to have recovered his senses. Fuimaono tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Engberg was well out of range. Poor timing from Fuimaono. Fuimaono walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fuimaono has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Engberg lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Engberg slips a straight right by Fuimaono. Fuimaono throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fuimaono shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Engberg closes the distance and clinches. Engberg is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fuimaono can do to turn this around? Engberg stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Fuimaono throws a head punch that misses. Fuimaono breaks the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fuimaono. Engberg does a little dance to reset his feet. Engberg throwing a counter right hand but Fuimaono manages to avoid it. Engberg wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fuimaono throws a lazy right hand but Engberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Engberg thuds a left hand into Fuimaono's body. Fuimaono is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Engberg scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Engberg lands a left and a right that send Fuimaono crashing to the mat, dazed. Engberg thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Fuimaono is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuimaono doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Engberg closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Fuimaono! Engberg dives in looking to finish! Fuimaono is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calvin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Calvin lands an elbow. Calvin trying to control the action but Volkov is working from the bottom. Calvin grinds an elbow into Volkov's temple. Volkov tries to escape but Calvin is in control. Calvin lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Volkov down.
Calvin cracks Volkov with a big elbow. Volkov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Calvin connects with a decent elbow. Calvin landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Volkov is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big shot lands for Calvin! That's hurt Volkov! Will he recover? Calvin fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Hugga seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Hugga throws a body shot but no joy. Twist looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hugga finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Hugga cracks Twist with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hugga has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Twist to stand back up! Twist is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Are you kidding me?! Hugga ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Twist clean off his feet! West misses with a wild body shot. West leaves Jefferson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jefferson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. West doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Jefferson connects with a looping right hand.

Jefferson defending well as West loads up on a big left hand. West misses with a body kick. A little feinted left hand from Jefferson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Jefferson lands with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jefferson misses with a looping right. Jab, jab by Jefferson - just one landing. Jefferson thows a left - swing and a miss! Jefferson has been working on his balance at Gold Samurai's Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by West. Jefferson moves out of range of the body kick from West.
West misses the shot to the body. Jefferson darts in looking for a takedown but West gets double underhooks and turns Jefferson into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. West throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jeffersons head. West breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jefferson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from West. West tries to land a front kick but Jefferson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. West has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. West lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A jab from West misses. West misses with a body punch
and Jefferson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jefferson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from West. Some wild striking there from Jefferson.
West lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A telegraphed right hand from West misses the target. West lands with a thumping leg kick.
West throws a body shot but no joy. Jefferson is looking to counter punch. West fails to land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jefferson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. West shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jefferson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. West takes a swing at Jefferson's ribcage but misses. Jefferson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by West. Jefferson drops West with a straight right hand, right on the button! Jefferson follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Of Coke sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Costa takes a jab right on the kisser.
Of Coke scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Of Coke works the jab nicely. Costa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Costa just misses with a punch to the body.
Of Coke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That kick from Costa tenderised Of Coke's leg. Of Coke is trying to keep his angry face on. Of Coke lands a lovely overhand right. Of Coke waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Costa.

Costa walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Of Coke swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howell fails with the takedown letting Hawk counter with a right hand. Howell has his takedown stuffed and Hawk counters with a left to the body. Howell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hawk has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Hawk lunges at Howell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Howell's hand. Hawk gets caught flat footed, as Howell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Howell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Howell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hawk utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Howell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Howell drops back looking for a leg! Hawk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hawk manages to kick Howell off! Howell jumps back into Hawk's guard. Howell wants to control from the top but Hawk keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Howell passes easily into side control. Nice work. We've been hearing that Howell has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. An elbow from Howell crashes against the mat.
Howell looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hawk is avoiding damage well.
Howell is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hawk looks calm but he's in trouble here. Howell gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hawk is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Howell lets go of the hold and Hawk can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Herpes lands an uppercut, right on the button! Helmsley tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Space Herpes! Space Herpes retains his heavyweight title! A relieved looking Space Herpes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
