Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ham Burger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darryl Haze ! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Burger. Burger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Burger appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Haze lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burger circles away quickly and effectively. Haze with a hook. Haze misses with a straight left. Burger scores with a jab. Haze misses with a hook. Burger ducked under it nicely. Burger tries to close the distance and clinch but Haze swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Burger throws a body shot but no joy. Haze with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Burger to score with a decent uppercut. Burger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Haze . Burger throws a body punch but Haze moves out of range. Haze ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Haze looks to throw a body kick and Burger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burger looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Haze keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Haze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Haze keeping full guard, as Burger tries to pass. Burger works over Haze with some ground and pound from guard. Haze looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Burger has picked Haze up and slammed him! Haze can't keep hold of the triangle and Burger manages to pass to side control! Haze tries to buck Burger off but Burger is having none of it. Haze is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Burger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Burger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Haze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burger is aware though and is defending well. Burger lands a couple of digs. Haze keeping moving, preventing Burger from controlling successfully. Haze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Burger defends it easily. Burger wants to control from the top but Haze keeps moving.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Burger is working Haze over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Burger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Burger avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Burger slips a nice elbow through Haze 's hands, connecting with Haze 's forehead. Burger is trying to work for a kimura but Haze is defending well.

Burger throwing shots but Haze is blocking nicely. Burger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Haze is in trouble now - Burger has advanced to mount!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ham Burger will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! A big right from Burger misses. Haze cracks Burger with a good jab. Haze fails with the takedown. Haze tries for a takedown but Burger circles away easily and Burger counters with a shot to the ribs. Harklie throws a sloppy head kick and McGuire moves out of range easily. McGuire flicks out a counter leg kick but Harklie steps away. A slapping leg kick lands for McGuire.
Harklie lands with a straight right. McGuire didn't see that one coming. Harklie shoots in for a takedown but McGuire shows good takedown defense. McGuire thumps Harklie with a low kick. McGuire bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. McGuire drops Harklie with a beautiful combination! Harklie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - McGuire is looking for the KO! Harklie is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGuire throws a pinpoint strike between Harklie's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Harklie crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and McGuire scores a great knockout victory!

We've been hearing reports that Mantle has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Mantle working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mir is trying to push Mantle away but Mantle has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mantle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mir dives in and grabs Mantle's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mantle pushes down on Mir's head and hops out. Graham Mantle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Mir. Mir steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mantle. Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hanson is trying to get an arm triangle but Thuta is defending well.

Thuta pushes Hanson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hanson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hanson in side control lands a decent elbow. Hanson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Thuta is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Godwin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Godwin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ritori. Ritori throws a leg kick but Godwin sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Ritori counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Ritori looks to land a left hand but Godwin moved out of range nicely. Godwin throws a big counter combination but Ritori scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Godwin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ritori.
Ritori steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Godwin. Ritori shapes to counter with a head kick. A jab from Godwin misses. Godwin misses with a left hand and Ritori counters with an inside leg kick. Ritori on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ritori jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Godwin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Godwin stuns Ritori with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ritori lands with a good body shot. Nice straight punches there by Ritori. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ritori. Ritori lands a leg kick that knocks Godwin off balance momentarily. Ritori scores with a crisp jab that stopped Godwin in his tracks. Godwin is rocked! Ritori thows a body kick. Godwin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Godwin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ritori throws out the jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Godwin. Ritori does a little dance to reset his feet. Ritori replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Godwin blocks it well. Ritori throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Ritori! Godwin is out on his feet! Ritori rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Godwin is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Godwin is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
