With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Meadows! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Devon Merchant! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meadows looks to land a combination. Merchant sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Meadows lands a glancing blow to the side of Merchant's head. Meadows is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Merchant. Meadows throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Merchant counters with a nice double leg into side control. Meadows won't be happy with that. Meadows is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Meadows sneaks back into half guard. Merchant tries to pass the half guard into mount. Meadows knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Meadows avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Merchant. Merchant takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fighters circling - Meadows throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Merchant drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Meadows defends it well. Meadows takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Merchant misses the shot to the body. Merchant dodges the punch combination from Meadows.
Meadows lands with a shot to the body. Meadows uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Merchant. A lazy left from Meadows finds it's target. Meadows throws out a powerful jab.

Meadows looks to score with a jab to the body but Merchant is just out of range. Merchant slips a jab and a cross from Meadows.
Merchant changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Nice straight punches there by Meadows. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Meadows. Meadows lands a really nice looking cross but Merchant seems unphased.

Meadows can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Merchant controls the pace. Merchant is working the ground and pound from guard. Merchant with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Merchant postures up in Meadows's guard and throws a big left but Meadows blocks it. Merchant looking to sit in guard and control but Meadows gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Let's hope that Merchant has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Merchant wants to hit a sweep here but Meadows passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Merchant there! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jay Meadows will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Merchant ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Merchant smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Meadows connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Merchant throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Merchant comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Meadows getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Merchant cracks Meadows with a right hand to the side of the head. Merchant looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Meadows! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Meadows tries to buck Merchant off but Merchant is having none of it. Merchant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meadows keeps working. Devon Merchant has got the better of the ground game so far. Merchant tries to score with some ground and pound. Meadows controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

It looks like Jay Meadows has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meadows takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Merchant's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vayrynen shoots in and gets a takedown into Bass's guard. Vayrynen is stalling in the full guard. Vayrynen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vayrynen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vayrynen scoring with some ground and pound. Vayrynen trying to control the position from guard on top but Bass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bass is looking for a triangle here but Vayrynen uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vayrynen looks up at the clock and then as Bass takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vayrynen smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Bass is trying to work for a sweep but Vayrynen has mounted him! Bass takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Jack is breathing heavily. Magabi stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Jack has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Magabi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Magabi has Jack pushed against the cage. Magabi scores with a hook to the body. Magabi pushes Jack back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Magabi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jack. Magabi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Magabi keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jack's efforts to push away.

Magabi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jack shoots for a double leg takedown but Magabi sprawls well. He's pushed Jack's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jack shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Magabi sprawls well. Magabi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jack gets slowly back to his feet. Jack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Magabi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Magabi takes one on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Magabi slips a jab and a cross from Jack.
Magabi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jack's sensitive parts. Magabi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jack can do to turn this around?
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jack darts in looking for a takedown but Magabi gets double underhooks and turns Jack into the cage. Mombasa Magabi is winning the standup battle so far. Magabi is looking to slow Jack down with leg kicks. Jack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Magabi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Magabi wants it to stay on the feet. Jack tries to clinch but Magabi moves away and Magabi counters with a left to the body. Magabi jabs Jack to the body, keeping him at a distance. A nice leg kick from Magabi , right into the meat of the thigh.
Magabi tries to work over Jack's front leg with a kick but Jack checks it. Jack tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jack pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Magabi back to the cage. Jack follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dinu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cunningham was well out of range. Poor timing from Dinu. A little jabbing left from Cunningham on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Dinu misses with a body shot
and Cunningham counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cunningham. Cunningham postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dinu wants to stand up but Cunningham is controlling him. Dinu uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Black gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wolf to score an easy takedown into full guard. Our spies down at at Triumph Over Fear inform us that Black has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rubble wants to slow Faith down by chopping away at his legs. Faith steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Rubble. The crowd cheers as Faith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rubble doesn't seem phased though. Rubble scoring well with a low kick there.

With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray White! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Bashir! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bashir misses with a hook
and White counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. White definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bashir takes a swing at White's ribcage but misses.
