The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hohol moves out of range of the strikes. Hohol was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Adams throws a leg kick but Hohol moved away. Adams defending well as Hohol loads up on a big left hand. We've been informed that Adams has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A swing and a miss from Adams. Hohol tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Adams paws at him with a jab and circles away. Adams swings for the body but Hohol moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudeson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kurtev did well to prevent Dudeson getting side control. Kurtev has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Kurtev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kurtev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dudeson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dudeson's back! Dudeson covers up after that shot from Kurtev.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kurtev punches the canvas rather than the man. Kurtev throwing wild punches that miss their target. Kurtev is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Kurtev gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Kurtev gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Kurtev apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Godwin as he connects with a hook. Basko Godwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Godwin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Godwin connects with a body shot that sends Boytsov's belly button to the back. Boytsov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Godwin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Godwin let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Boytsov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Godwin throws out a counter right but Boytsov avoids it with no problem. Boytsov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Boytsov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Godwin. Godwin works Boytsov's body with a nice hook. Godwin drops Boytsov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Boytsov looks back up at him and smiles so Godwin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Boytsov is rocked! It looks like Dmitry Boytsov has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Godwin misses with an uppercut. Boytsov saw that one coming. Godwin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Godwin rushes Boytsov with punches - Boytsov moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Boytsov goes down! Godwin follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

We've been told by Nyla's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kim throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Nyla wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Kim slips under a jab from Nyla. Kim rushes Nyla and presses him up against the cage. A short uppercut from Kim. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nyla takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
