I think Orsic might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to KRS One - Rappaz R. N. Dainja. Mate Orsic had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Orsic has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tran MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight. Orsic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Orsic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nyla. Nyla throws out a counter right but Orsic avoids it with no problem. Orsic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nyla has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Orsic misses with the combination.

Orsic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nyla does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Orsic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nyla wants to control but Orsic is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nyla tries to get to full guard but Orsic has control of the leg. Mate Orsic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nyla is trying to control but can't.

Mangold does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Martin misses with a straight right.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chest Mangold. I think Mangold has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
