The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mesquita misses with an uppercut. Ryan saw that one coming.
And Ryan tries to counter it with a takedown but Mesquita pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Mesquita uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ryan.
Ryan loads up on a big right hand but Mesquita slips the punch.
Eddie Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ryan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Young has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zweihander.

Young is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zweihander.
Young tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zweihander is able to avoid easily.
Zweihander jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Young ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Zweihander out cold! The fight is over!
