Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Ethan Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manuel Silva! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk throws a lazy head kick and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hawk won't be happy with that. Silva controls the position. Hawk is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Hawk regains half guard, as Silva was trying to land strikes. Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hawk scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Silva manages to mount him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva content just to control the position here. Silva throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hawk because Silva loaded up on that one. Silva controlling the pace for now. Hawk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Silva throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Silva working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva landing strikes from the mount and Hawk is in trouble! Silva with a couple of short strikes. Silva throws some wild stikes that Hawk manages to avoid easily.
Hawk takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Silva looking to land elbow strikes but Hawk uses the position to regain half guard. Hawk tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Silva not doing much here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva working over Hawk with some ground and pound. Hawk looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Silva not doing much here.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Hawk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hawk.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawk holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Silva tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Hawk is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action. Silva punishing his opponent with strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Manuel Silva dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hawk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hawk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hawk throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hawk lands a leg kick that knocks Silva off balance momentarily. Silva clinches. Silva swings away with an uppercut that misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hawk walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Silva lands a jab. Hawk cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head. Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely. A nice leg kick lands there from Hawk. Silva blocks the body kick.

Ethan Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hawk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

It looked like Hawk was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Silva ducks under a wild hook from Hawk. Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And Silva tries to counter it with a takedown but Hawk pushes his down on his head and steps out. Silva throws a body kick that misses. Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Silva is looking to slow Hawk down with leg kicks. Hawk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hawk scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hawk is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Silva cracks a nice hook into Hawk's ribs. Hawk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Silva avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ethan Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manuel Silva. Hawk circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Silva drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hawk follows Silva to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Walton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Knightley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Walton just misses with a punch to the body.

Walton scores with a jab to the jaw. It looks like Flynn Knightley has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A momentary lapse in concentration from Walton enables Knightley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Knightley stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Walton throws up his legs and catches Knightley in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Knightley tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Walton! That came out of nowhere!

A little jabbing left from Donal on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Donal walks into a left hand. Bautista has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Donal. Donal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bautista.
Donal looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Donal slips under a jab. Donal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bautista. Donal was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Donal drives through and clinches with Bautista against the cage.
Donal pushes Bautista back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Donal.

Spicoli throws a nice outside leg kick. Krylov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Krylov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A little jabbing left from Spicoli on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Spicoli lands a lovely overhand right. Boris Krylov's cut is getting worse. Spicoli throws a nice looking combination but Krylov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Krylov tries a head kick but it misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krylov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Krylov tries to get out of the position. Spicoli throwing strikes from guard but Krylov blocks nicely. Krylov seems to have got his legs back now. Spicoli controls from within his opponent's guard. Spicoli is continuing to stall. Spicoli chips away with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Spicoli wants to pass the guard but Krylov is keeping the position. Spicoli slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Spicoli stands and throws Krylov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Spicoli connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Krylov some visible discomfort.

Krylov takes a step backwards and waves Spicoli back to his feet - he wants the finish! Spicoli is rocked! Spicoli scores with a crisp jab that stopped Krylov in his tracks. Spicoli is still on wobbly legs! Can Krylov finish him? Krylov misses with a kick to the body and Spicoli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Spicoli seems to have recovered his senses. Boris Krylov's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spicoli connects with an inside leg kick. Krylov misses with a body punch

Jeff Spicoli seems to be getting the better of the standup. Spicoli drops his hands momentarily and Krylov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Krylov throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Spicoli counters with a big uppercut that knocks Krylov off his feet! Spicoli dives into side control looking to finish! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spicoli has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spicoli is working for a guillotine from mount but Krylov frees his head quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Spicoli has hold of Krylov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Krylov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Spicoli lands a big shot there that rocks Krylov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

With a record of 25 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Rome! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pope slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rome has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pope ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. It looked like Pope wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Rome tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Rome shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pope pinned against the cage. Pope gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pope appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Rome looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pope is fending him off so far but Rome persists. Nope, Pope circles away and we're back to standing. A little feinted left hand from Pope on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Pope throws a hook but Rome blocks it. Curtis Rome dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Pope lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

It looks like Curtis Rome has been cut. Pope leaves Rome with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rome darts in looking for a takedown but Pope gets double underhooks and turns Rome into the cage. Curtis Rome seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rome trying to mount his opponent but Pope defends it. Rome is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pope has managed to free his arm - good work. Pope is pressing down on Rome's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Rome wants to pass the guard but Pope is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rome stands and throws Pope's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rome is trying to get an arm triangle but Pope is defending well. Rome has an Americana. Pope didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rome is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rome hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
