The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Illir connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Illir fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Halvorsen avoids it really well and circles away.

Illir is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Halvorsen has escaped the position, nice work there.

Illir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Halvorsen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Illir has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Halvorsen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Illir has tightened it up now! Halvorsen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Sanitario tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wright sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanitario somewhat.

I think Oneil might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica - Spit Out The Bone. A decent looking cross lands there for Oneil.
Oneil closes the distance and clinches up with Jay, looking for a takedown. Oneil pushes Jay against the cage but Jay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Oneil. Jay does a little dance to reset his feet.

Oneil tries for a takedown but Jay sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Jay manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jay lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Oneil has Jay pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Oneil pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jay tumbling to the mat - Oneil dives into Jay's guard.

Jay is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jay has momentary wrist control but Oneil slips an elbow through the middle.

Kobra Jay has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jay is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Oneil presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Oneil.
I think Oneil has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
