With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfonz Novak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Kiwi! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Novak closes the distance and clinches. The referee calls for Kiwi to work.
Novak blocks a body shot from Kiwi. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A body shot lands from Kiwi.
We've been hearing reports that Novak has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kiwi misses with a body punch.
Kiwi tries to work over Novak's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kiwi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Novak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A low kick from Kiwi misses and Novak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kiwi's guard. Novak working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kiwi's head. Kiwi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiwi is looking to cinch up a triangle. Novak throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kiwi's body to avoid the submission. Kiwi has instead reached around Novak's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kiwi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Keji is looking to break free of the clinch but Thomas has double underhooks. Thomas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Keji is keeping busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keji escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A low kick from Thomas misses and Keji counters with a nice uppercut. Thomas delivers a nice body kick. Thomas feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Keji sprawling to the canvas! Keji rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thomas finish him?!

Thomas tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Keji counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Thomas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. It looks like White Goodman has been cut. Oosthuizen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Goodman moves away from the strike by Oosthuizen . Oosthuizen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That could be painful for both fighters. Goodman cracks a nice hook into Oosthuizen 's ribs. Oosthuizen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oosthuizen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Goodman. Torvik looks to score with a jab to the body but Jacira is just out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Jacira. Torvik does a little dance to reset his feet. Torvik swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jacira counters with a nice uppercut. Jacira clobbers Torvik with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Torvik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jacira. Torvik connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Jacira throws a lazy uppercut
and Jacira takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Torvik throws a hook but Jacira avoids it easily. Torvik cracks Jacira on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Jacira falls backwards against the cage. Torvik follows up with more strikes that drop Jacira to his knees. Torvik keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Jacira! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sven Torvik! Sven Torvik spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assndrop misses with a low kick as Pope jumps back. Pope lands a nice looking kick to the body. Assndrop takes a step back to recover. A low kick from Pope is predictable there and Assndrop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Assndrop connects with a solid leg kick. Assndrop has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Assndrop takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Pope jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Pope throws a body punch but Assndrop moves out of range. Assndrop uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pope. Assndrop lands with a nice body punch. Pope moves away from the strike by Assndrop. Assndrop waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pope. Pope throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A clash of legs there as Assndrop blocks the low kick. Assndrop throws a chopping leg kick but Pope manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Assndrop throws a low kick, looking for Pope's leg but Pope calmly moves out of range. Pope scores with a leg kick.
Assndrop connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pope throws a low kick but it's checked well by Assndrop. Assndrop tried to score with a low kick but Pope checks it. Pope swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Pope is looking to wear down Assndrop with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vitalik misses with a hook. Vitalik with a lazy takedown attempt and Entreri makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Vitalik chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Entreri can pounce on him.
Vitalik throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Entreri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Vitalik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Entreri swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Horrible takedown attempt by Vitalik or perhaps it was just good defense by Entreri, which made it look bad. Entreri throws out a counter right but Vitalik avoids it with no problem. Entreri feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vitalik sprawling to the canvas! Vitalik rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Entreri finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vitalik misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Entreri counters with a huge right that knocks Vitalik out cold! Entreri is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
