Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rulla Kebab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jørgen Thrane! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kebab changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thrane tries to avoid it but Kebab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thrane to the ground. Thrane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kebab closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thrane circles away. Thrane counters with a body kick. We've been told by Kebab's head coaches at Freaky Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kebab shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thrane as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rulla Kebab. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kebab changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thrane tries to avoid it but Kebab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thrane to the ground. Thrane leaves Kebab with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's two minutes gone in the round. Thrane stuffs the takedown attempt from Kebab. Kebab gets slowly back to his feet. Thrane now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Kebab shoots for a takedown but Thrane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Thrane has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Thrane swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kebab. Kebab looks for a takedown but Thrane sprawls well. Kebab fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thrane avoids it really well and circles away. Kebab with a lazy takedown attempt and Thrane counters with a good low kick that Kebab was not able to check. Kebab is breathing heavily. Thrane turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kebab gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thrane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kebab with a lazy takedown attempt and Thrane counters with a slapping leg kick. Thrane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kebab manages to avoid it. As Thrane looks to move away, Kebab throws a big counter combo but Thrane just gets out of the way. Kebab shoots and misses and Thrane counters with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters circling a little - Thrane finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Thrane thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kebab if he has to take too many more of those.

Rulla Kebab's cut is getting worse. Kebab shoots in looking for a takedown but Thrane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kebab's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Thrane scores with a leg kick.

Thrane tries to avoid it but Kebab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thrane to the ground. Thrane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Thrane lands a big head kick that sends Kebab tumbling to the mat! Thrane takes a step backwards and waves Kebab back to his feet - he wants the finish! Kebab is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kebab misses with a takedown attempt and Thrane counters with a monster head kick that knocks Kebab out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!

"Ole!" shouts Barkley as he jumps to the side. Barkley throws a nice outside leg kick. Wahlstroem uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barkley. Wahlstroem fails with the takedown and Barkley counters with a straight right hand. Wahlstroem looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wahlstroem lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wahlstroem smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Wahlstroem closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berkut shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berkut prevents Jokinen from improving his position. Jokinen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Berkut is working away from the top position though. Jokinen tries to roll over but Berkut keeps him under control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Berkut working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Berkut is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jokinen is trying to get back to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilgore ducks under a wild hook from Price. Price throws a right hand that misses
and Kilgore counters with a nice low kick that buckles Price's knee momentarily. Kilgore goes for a high kick. It partially lands. It looks like Pete Price has been cut.
