Metharom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Rose lands a big head kick that sends Madzarov tumbling to the mat! Rose takes a step backwards and waves Madzarov back to his feet - he wants the finish! It looks like Vasko Madzarov has been cut. Madzarov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rose manages to avoid it. A nice inside leg kick there by Madzarov. That's going to slow Rose down. Madzarov jabbing away but nothing is landing. A quick step to the side and Rose tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rose! Madzarov is out on his feet! Rose rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Madzarov is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Madzarov is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chai throws a nice outside leg kick. A low kick from Chai misses and Choke counters with a takedown into side control. Chai parries the strikes from Choke easily there. Choke is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Chai to escape.
Choke tries to score with some ground and pound. Chai controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Choke goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chai has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Choke but great work by Chai. Choke tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Chai presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Choke throws a strike from the bottom but Chai uses the opportunity to take his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Choke tries to escape but Chai has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Choke is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
