The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhanbolatov cracks Point with an open hand slap. Point throws the left hand but Zhanbolatov avoids the punch easily. Point lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jab from Point. Zhanbolatov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Point lands a jab to Zhanbolatov's midsection. Zhanbolatov connects with a single shot there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 27 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Bogo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kano Sicarius! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sicarius misses with a takedown attempt and Bogo counters with a shoot takedown. Sicarius fights it but they end up in guard. Sicarius keeping moving, preventing Bogo from controlling successfully. Bogo postures up in Sicarius's guard and throws a big left but Sicarius blocks it. Sicarius lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Sicarius controlling from the top position. Sicarius lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sicarius has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bogo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bogo keeping full guard, as Sicarius tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sicarius's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sicarius wants to control from the top but Bogo keeps moving. Sicarius seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sicarius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bogo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bogo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sicarius defends it easily. Bogo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sicarius can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sicarius stands and throws Bogo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sicarius throwing shots but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sicarius works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bogo struggling a bit here. Sicarius advances to full mount. Sicarius trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sicarius cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanow fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Seigel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Seigel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romanow. And Seigel responds with a good body kick, but Romanow manages to step out the way in time. Seigel moves out of range as Romanow strikes. Seigel throws out a counter right but Romanow avoids it with no problem. Romanow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Seigel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Seigel enables Romanow to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Seigel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Seigel is adopting a defensive guard. Romanow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've been hearing that Romanow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Romanow chips away with some ground and pound.
