Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Hasbulla Magomedov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie Mir! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir closes the distance and pushes Magomedov back into the cage. Mir misses with a punch to the body.
Magomedov jumps into guard, dragging Mir to the mat.

Magomedov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mir defends it easily. Magomedov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Magomedov prevents Mir from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mir trying to keep a closed guard but Magomedov is proving a slippery customer.

Mir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Magomedov is just riding it out for now. Mir eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mir is thwarting Magomedov's attempts to control the position.

Magomedov has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Mir escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Mir! Mir cracks Magomedov with a big elbow. Mir works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Magomedov can't do much from the bottom here. Mir manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Magomedov manages to get himself to full guard.

Mir is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Magomedov gets his way!

And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Case with the counter takedown but Paulson avoids it easily. Case displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paulson throws out the jab. Paulson throws a lazy right hand but Case sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Case feints the counter takedown. Case is trying hard to land a takedown here. Paulson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Paulson is looking to counter punch. Case with a lazy takedown attempt and Paulson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Paulson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Case's hands.

It looks like Gouda Cheese has been cut. Lo missing with a left hand there. Cheese was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Lo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cheese. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cheese connects with a single shot there. A slow jab from Lo misses its intended target. Cheese tried to counter with a leg kick but Lo avoided it. A nice leg kick lands there from Cheese. Cheese connects with a nice looking jab.

Lo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lo walks into a straight right hand from Cheese. Cheese steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lo. Cheese connects with a jab. Cheese tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lo throws a good cross that connects.

Cheese is rocked! Cheese trying to remain calm as Lo controls from the top position. Oh Cheese is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cheese manages to get back to half guard. Cheese is looking to improve his position.
Lo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lo lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Cheese quite badly. Cheese pulls Lo in close trying to recover. Lo postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Cheese on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Cheese doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Deane misses the target. Dustfinger thuds his right hand into Deane's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Dustfinger has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Deane connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Henry Dustfinger has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from Deane misses the target. Deane wants to clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McCarthy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. McCarthy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. McCarthy ducks under a wild hook from Babcock. Babcock throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McCarthy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Babcock takes a body punch but keeps moving. Nice jab there from Babcock.
