The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbosa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McFistface.
An attempted straight right counter from Barbosa misses the target. McFistface turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Barbosa avoids the head kick by McFistface.
McFistface fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barbosa, pushing him back against the cage. McFistface blocks an uppercut.
Barbosa scores with a nice hook to the head. McFistface looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Barbosa stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Barbosa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. I was talking to Barbosa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Barbosa works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McFistface tries to close the distance and clinch but Barbosa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McFistface throws a sloppy head kick and Barbosa moves out of range easily. McFistface tries to clinch up. Barbosa lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. McFistface misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

McFistface goes for a double leg but Barbosa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barbosa continues to drive forward. Antonio Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie McFistface. McFistface takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McFistface throws a lazy head kick and Barbosa counters with a solid body kick. Barbosa cracks McFistface with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Crispian doesn't manage to clinch there - Battleby circles away.
