With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fahaka Puffer! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puffer lands a nice shot to the body.

We've been told by Paramount's head coaches at Ironbound MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Puffer jabs at Paramount's body. Errol Paramount seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puffer moves out of range of the body kick. Puffer now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Puffer misses with a body punch

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Puffer ducks under a wild hook from Paramount. Puffer looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Paramount takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Puffer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. It looks like Errol Paramount has been cut. A combination from Paramount does no damage. Puffer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paramount.
A little jabbing left from Puffer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Puffer looking to land some kicks to the body here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Puffer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Puffer on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A shot to the body from Paramount misses and Puffer finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Fahaka Puffer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Errol Paramount's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Paramount throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Puffer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Puffer moves out of range as Paramount throws a body kick.

Paramount scores with a spinning back kick! Puffer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Paramount misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Puffer.
Paramount takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Puffer darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Paramount takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Puffer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Paramount. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Puffer lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paramount has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paramount and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Paramount goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Paramount works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Paramount looks to land a left hand but Puffer moved out of range nicely. Puffer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A little feinted left hand from Paramount on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Paramount swings for the body but Puffer moves out of range.
Paramount misses the jab. Puffer feints and then cracks Paramount's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Paramount down.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paramount gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Puffer points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Paramount wakes up just in time to hear Puffer thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ming is trying to push Ewing away but Ewing has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Our sources have told us that Ming has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duboulay tries for a takedown but Matsushima circles away easily and Matsushima counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Duboulay's coach down at Rising Sun Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Duboulay's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Matsushima swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Duboulay's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Calderon misses with a looping right. Freeman ducks under a wild hook from Calderon. Calderon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A jab from Calderon finds it's way through Freeman's defenses. Freeman shoots in looking for a takedown. Calderon tries to sprawl out of it but Freeman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Calderon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Freeman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Calderon defends well and Freeman ends up having to push Calderon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Calderon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Freeman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
