The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tanaka, as that shot connected.
Tanaka misses with a looping right.
Tanaka loads up on a big right hand but Gill slips the punch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tanaka.
Gill keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tanaka shoots in looking for a takedown but Gill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tanaka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gill went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gill clobbers Tanaka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Tanaka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tanaka shoots in looking for a takedown but Gill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tanaka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanaka looks to throw the jab but Gill is out of range.
Gill throws a counter high kick but Tanaka was just alert enough to avoid it.

and Gill counters with a crisp right that sends Tanaka to the canvas! Gill follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

After the fight, Blue Gill was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
