 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatakenaka wants to slow Amrani down by chopping away at his legs. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Hatakenaka ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A swing and a miss from Amrani. Hatakenaka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Amrani. Kiwi throws a shot from downtown. Detweiler moves away and avoids it. Detweiler throws a big counter combination but Kiwi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Detweiler has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Kiwi throws a hook to the side of Detweiler's head but Detweiler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Good work by Detweiler as he checks the leg kick. Kiwi throws a combination that misses and Detweiler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice shot by Kiwi. Kiwi lands with a kick to the temple. Detweiler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Detweiler tries to clinch up but Kiwi circles away and keeps his distance. Detweiler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Detweiler looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Kiwi can't hide his disappointment, as Detweiler celebrates the victory.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chai misses with a looping right. Chai throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith. Chai slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A decent looking cross lands there for Chai. Chai turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. John Joe Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chai fails to land with a series of punches.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Okoro. Saitoh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Okoro quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Saitoh circles away from the clinch attempt and Saitoh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That was a close second round but I would say that Howie Dewitt will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Howie Dewitt's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A lazy left from Dewitt finds it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shida throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Shida looks to land a right hand but Dewitt moved out of range. A quick step to the side and Dewitt tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dewitt's head. Shida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dewitt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dewitt wants to clinch. It seemed like Shida was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A head kick from Dewitt lands but Shida takes it in his stride.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Shida misses the target. Dewitt lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Shida defending well as Dewitt loads up on a big left hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dewitt slips under a jab. Shida swats away the attempt to clinch by Dewitt. Shida is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Dewitt with a body shot.
