With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alois Vrana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ant Thrax! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Thrax misses its intended target. Vrana getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Thrax looks to land a right hand but Vrana moved out of range. Thrax staying out of range there. Nice cross by Vrana. Vrana darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Vrana looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Vrana swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thrax throws out a counter right but Vrana avoids it with no problem. Vrana showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thrax.
Thrax keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vrana. Thrax connects with a right hand. Vrana shakes it off. Vrana bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Thrax misses with a looping left. Thrax swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jab, jab by Vrana - just one landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vrana throws a lazy right hand but Thrax sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A little jabbing left from Thrax on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Vrana scores with a jab.

Vrana looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Vrana throws a front kick aimed at Thrax's knee but Thrax avoids it well. Vrana connects with a nice looking jab.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Thrax slips under a jab. Vrana rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thrax moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vrana is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Vrana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vrana misses with a hook
and Thrax counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Thrax tests Vrana's chin there with a solid looking shot. Vrana throws a looping overhand right but Thrax ducks down to avoid it. Vrana tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thrax manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Thrax misses with a two punch combination.

Vrana is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Thrax takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Vrana doesn't manage to clinch there - Thrax circles away.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Vrana blocks a low kick nicely. Alois Vrana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vrana looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Vrana is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thrax. Thrax walks into a jab. Vrana thows a left - swing and a miss! Thrax lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vrana is rocked! Vrana wants to clinch but Thrax slips to the side and Thrax counters with a big left hand that crumples Vrana! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ant Thrax! After winning the bout, Ant Thrax thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Kopecki. That's going to slow Soares down. Soares looks to score with a jab to the body but Kopecki is just out of range. Kopecki misses with a hook. Soares on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Soares throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kopecki counters with a nice uppercut. Soares misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kopecki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Soares.
Kopecki scores with a jab to the body. Kopecki misses with a looping left. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Soares! But no joy. Andy Kopecki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Soares shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kopecki eats them both and turns towards Soares to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kopecki misses with a wild body shot. Nice uppercut there from Kopecki. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Soares shoots in and drives through. Kopecki sprawls well. A decent looking cross lands there for Kopecki. Kopecki lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Soares is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kopecki defends it well. Soares is nestled in close to Kopecki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Soares thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kopecki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Soares. Soares throwing shots but Kopecki is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soares is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kopecki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Soares. Soares is trying to control. Kopecki wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kopecki wants to control but Soares is keeping busy and won't allow it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Soares wants to take a breather but Kopecki is having none of it. Kopecki wants to get back to his feet.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Kopecki misses with a wild body shot. Soares slips under a jab from Kopecki. Soares looks to land a right hand but Kopecki moved out of range. Kopecki looks to land a body kick but Soares moved away. Soares misses with a wild combination.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Soares content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kopecki keeping moving, preventing Soares from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Soares accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Soares trying to control the position from guard on top but Kopecki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Soares postures up.
Soares trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Soares chips away with some ground and pound. Soares postures up in Kopecki's guard and throws a big left but Kopecki blocks it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Andy Kopecki will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Soares looks to land a right hand but Kopecki moved out of range. Kopecki swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. It looks like Kopecki has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kopecki throws a right and a left that Soares avoids nicely. A nice leg kick lands there from Kopecki. Kopecki takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Soares changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kopecki misses with a series of wild punches.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kopecki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Soares shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Soares was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kopecki bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Soares fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kopecki lands with a right hand. Kopecki connects with a right hand. Soares shakes it off. Kopecki throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Soares counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kopecki misses with a straight right. Soares wants to counter the offense by Kopecki and move into the clinch position. Soares fails to land the takedown.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kopecki swings away with a body shot that misses
and Soares counters with a nice body shot. Kopecki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Soares was well out of range. Poor timing from Kopecki. Kopecki misses the shot to the body. Kopecki is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Kopecki swings widly with a right hand
and Soares counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Soares tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kopecki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kopecki throws the left hand but Soares avoids the punch easily. Kopecki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kopecki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kopecki throws a leg kick that is checked and Soares counters with a stiff right hand. A big left from Kopecki misses. Kopecki cracks Soares with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Soares has closed the distance and engaged Kopecki in a clinch.
Kopecki has had enough of the clinch but Soares keeps him there for the moment.

Kopecki darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Soares throws a nice looking combination but Kopecki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kopecki misses with a jab, cross combination.

Soares looking for a sweep. Not yet Soares, not yet. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kopecki is looking to stand up but Soares won't let him. Kopecki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kopecki trying to control the position from guard on top but Soares is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That was a close second round but I would say that Andy Kopecki will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Soares wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kopecki keeps working. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Soares looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kopecki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Soares looks to land a strike but Kopecki avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Soares loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Soares trying to control but Kopecki is working from the bottom. Soares trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Soares trying to control the position from guard on top but Kopecki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kopecki is looking to score with low kicks. Soares fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Soares throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kopecki was covering up waiting for the punch and Soares finishes the takedown easily into guard. Soares working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gilbervan Soares has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andy Kopecki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Soares postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Soares throwing strikes from guard but Kopecki blocks nicely. Kopecki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Soares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Soares working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Soares lands a couple of decent looking shots. Soares is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Soares trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soares throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Soares is pushing down on Kopecki's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kopecki is fighting to maintain full guard but Soares has managed to sneak the leg through. Carioni misses with a wild body shot. Egyptian was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Nice jab there from Egyptian.

Carioni is rocked! Egyptian fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Carioni square on the jaw! Damn, Carioni is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Tokugawa misses with a lunging right hand
