Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Mathieu (ranked 576 p4p, 916 weight class) and Aron Egomi (ranked 31 p4p, 49 weight class). Egomi has chosen Hand of doom by Manowar as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ernesto Mathieu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Aron Egomi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egomi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mathieu throws a lazy body kick

and Egomi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Egomi prevents Mathieu from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Egomi decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Egomi is standing up over Mathieu. Mathieu looks to escape but Egomi dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mathieu is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Egomi is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Mathieu wants to control but Egomi is having none of it.
Mathieu wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Egomi is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Egomi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mathieu defends it well.

Mathieu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Egomi blocks the leg kick.
Ernesto Mathieu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mathieu pushes Egomi away with a front kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mathieu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ernesto Mathieu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
