Averescu has chosen Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randy moves out of range as Averescu strikes.
Randy lands a glancing blow to the side of Averescu's head.
It looks like Dan Averescu has been cut.
Randy lands an overhand right.

Randy jabs Averescu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Averescu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dan Averescu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Randy moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Averescu goes down! Can Randy finish him!?
Averescu is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Randy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Randy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Averescu is still in real trouble! Can Randy finish him?
Randy passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Randy tries for a kimura but Averescu is defending well.
Averescu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Randy has hold of Averescu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Averescu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Randy cranks the arm and Averescu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Averescu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Macho Man Randy!
