Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 327 p4p, 313 weight class) and Dan Dinklage (ranked 20 p4p, 19 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Dinklage! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redd is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dinklage. Dinklage looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Dinklage checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dinklage drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Redd defends it well. Dinklage tries to clinch up but Redd circles away and keeps his distance. Dinklage ducks under a wild hook from Redd. Dinklage has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dinklage misses the shot to the body. A momentary lapse in concentration from Dinklage enables Redd to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dinklage manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dinklage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dinklage controlling Redd's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redd postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd trying to control but Dinklage is working from the bottom. Dinklage managing to control the position. Redd is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dinklage looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Redd looking to pass the guard. Redd controlling from the top position. Redd slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Redd works to advance to full mount. Dinklage defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Dinklage keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Redd thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Dinklage holds on for dear life, controlling Redd's posture momentarily. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Redd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dinklage keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Redd putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dinklage regains half guard. Dinklage gets full guard. Dinklage preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Redd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Redd's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dinklage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Redd trying to control the position from guard on top but Dinklage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Redd throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Redd wants to control from the top but Dinklage keeps moving. Dinklage looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dinklage looking for a sweep. Not yet Dinklage, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Redd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dinklage tries to get to full guard but Redd has control of the leg. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Redd shoots in looking for a takedown. Dinklage tries to sprawl out of it but Redd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dinklage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Redd tries to keep at a distance but Dinklage has taken the fight into the clinch. Redd prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redd has Dinklage pressed against the cage, preventing Dinklage from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Redd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dinklage feints and as Redd raises his hands in defense, Dinklage changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Redd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dinklage is one step ahead there. Dinklage works over Redd with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinklage passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dinklage working the ground and pound but Redd is defending the strikes. Dinklage looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Redd is avoiding damage well.
Dinklage wants to lay and pray for a moment but Redd keeps working. Redd takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Redd is rocked! Redd is trying to get back to half guard. Oh Redd is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dinklage lands a huge shot from side control! Redd is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dan Dinklage! During a confident post fight interview, Dan Dinklage thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
