Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Hull (ranked 1340 p4p, 961 weight class) and Kastav Kvinchal (ranked 119 p4p, 58 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Hull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kastav Kvinchal! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kvinchal thows a left - swing and a miss! It looked like Hull wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Hull has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hull there as he acknowledges the shot. Kvinchal circles away from the clinch attempt and Kvinchal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hull thinking. Kvinchal gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hull tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kvinchal landing strikes. The strikes coming from Kvinchal are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hull is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kvinchal throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Hull jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kvinchal is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kvinchal and Hull has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kvinchal knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hull working away. Hull tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hull has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kvinchal is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hull's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hull is looking for submissions but instead, Kvinchal has regained full guard.

Hull is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kvinchal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kvinchal has his foot on Hull's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hull works his way back into a safe position though. Kvinchal keeping full guard, as Hull tries to pass. Kvinchal keeping moving, preventing Hull from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hull stopping the sweep attempt from Kvinchal. A close round but Kastav Kvinchal will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Kvinchal takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kvinchal shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kvinchal showed some decent athleticism there. Hull wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hull is refusing to be controlled, as Kvinchal sits in half guard. Kvinchal wants to free his trapped foot but Hull is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hull is looking for a sweep. Kvinchal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hull looking for submissions off his back. Kvinchal is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kvinchal lands a couple of elbows. Kvinchal trying to control but Hull is working from the bottom. Hull had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kvinchal defends it easily. Kvinchal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hull swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hull has control of Kvinchal's left arm, preventing Kvinchal from doing any damage. Hull looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kvinchal wants to control from the top but Hull keeps moving. Kastav Kvinchal has got the better of the ground game so far. Kvinchal pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hull is keeping the position for now. Hull working for a triangle but Kvinchal defends it easily.

Hull is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Kvinchal has hold of Hull's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hull manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kastav Kvinchal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Hull walks into a left hand. Hull slips a jab and a cross from Kvinchal.

Kastav Kvinchal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hull moves in looking to clinch but Kvinchal pushes him off. Kvinchal keeps the fight on the outside. Kvinchal drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hull defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Kvinchal. Hull does a little dance to reset his feet. Kvinchal keeps the fight on the outside. Hull doesn't manage to clinch there - Kvinchal circles away.
Kvinchal has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kvinchal has picked Hull up and slammed him! Hull can't keep hold of the triangle and Kvinchal manages to pass to side control! Kvinchal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hull, who protects the arm well. Hull tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kvinchal in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Hull is looking to regain half guard here but Kvinchal keeps moving and retains side control.
