Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iago Farfan (ranked 107 p4p, 332 weight class) and Ed Jones (ranked 16 p4p, 44 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ed Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iago Farfan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ed Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a crisp jab that stopped Farfan in his tracks.

It looks like Iago Farfan has been cut.
Farfan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.

It looks like Ed Jones has been cut.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Farfan is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jones.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Farfan's defenses.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Farfan ducks down to avoid it.
Farfan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Farfan tries to counter by clinching up but Jones breaks away and moves out of range.
Farfan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That kick from Farfan tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on.
Farfan looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Jones throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Farfan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jones is out of range and Farfan settles back down.
Jones misses with a hook.
Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Farfan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Farfan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Farfan is looking to counter the offense by Jones and move into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Farfan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Farfan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Farfan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Farfan ducks straight into an uppercut from Jones and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Farfan manages to regain guard straight away.

Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Jones gets to his feet - Farfan follows without any prompting.
Jones looks to land a right hand but Farfan moved out of range.
It looked like Farfan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Farfan has managed to clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Farfan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Farfan throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Jones.
Jones scores with the left hand. Farfan knows he should have avoided that one.
A jab lands there for Farfan.
Farfan misses with a straight left.
Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jones throws a hook but Farfan avoids it easily.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Farfan.

Iago Farfan's cut is getting worse.
Farfan swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones thuds his shin into the meat of Farfan's side.
Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Farfan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Farfan fires out a quick counter leg kick but Jones just manages to avoid it.
That kick from Farfan tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Farfan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Farfan misses with a body shot.
Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Farfan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Farfan counters with a left to the body.
Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good shot there by Jones.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Farfan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Farfans head.
Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
Farfan can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.
Farfan tries a body shot but Jones blocks it.
Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Farfan.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ed Jones dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Farfan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Farfan scrambles back to his feet.
Jones is looking to clinch but Farfan is avoiding it.
Farfan throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones misses with a hook. Farfan ducked under it nicely.
Ed Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farfan throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Farfan's head back.
Farfan throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Farfan.
Farfan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones misses with a hook. Farfan ducked under it nicely.
A big left from Farfan misses.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Farfan tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Jones on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jones is looking to land body kicks.

Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Farfan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jones throws out a counter right but Farfan avoids it with no problem.
Farfan slips a straight right by Jones.
Farfan is looking to counter punch.
Farfan with a jab.
Jones misses with a hook.
Farfan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Farfan seems unphased.

Farfan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones cracks Farfan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jones lands a brutal head kick. Farfan looks out on his feet and Jones throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Ed Jones!
A very excited looking Ed Jones made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
